Do you think it will ever happen? Would UGA, Florida, and UT even agree to it?

I think LSU would support our moving but I read a theory that Bama doesn’t want us playing in Florida every other year for recruiting reasons.

How much of our fanbase wants us to move?

Expansion will need to take place.

An extra SEC game will need to be added.

They should have never called the divisions “east” and “west”.
They could have named them after famous people or sold rights to Verizon or Coca-Cola.

Divisions should be:
1. AU, UGA, Florida,, Vanderbilt, MSU, USC
2. Bama, LSU, UT, OleMiss, Kentucky, Arkansas

Cross division rivals: AU-Bama, UT-Vandy, Ark-USC, ole miss-MSU, UGA-Kentucky, Florida-LSU.

No further expansion.

Divisions will go away. You will play 3 or 4 annual games (i.e. Auburn vs Bama, UGA , Ole Miss). (Bama vs Auburn,uT, MSU).

Leaves 10 opponents that rotate through 5 games.

The SEC championship would be the two best teams.

How bout' north-south divisions: Draw a line with Missouri, UK, Ark, Vandy, UT, O'Miss and USC to the north . . .

. . . and to the south with aTm, LSU, MState, UGa, UA, AU, and UF. (It'd get the games I'm most interested in seeing)

This. If we expand again, Auburn will go to east.

This will take a change to the NCAA rulebook.

As it stands right now, in order to have a championship game in football you have to either:
1) Be divided into two divisions where each member of the division plays each other in a round robin format. The championship game matches the two division winners.

2) Have all teams in the conference play each other in a round robin format. The top two teams meet again in the conference championship game.

Until the NCAA changes the rules, or the P5 schools pull out of the NCAA, your scenario will never come to fruition. Even if it did, how do you decide which teams go the to CG if two teams end up tied for 2nd and didn't play each other? What if three teams end up with the same record and didn't play each other?

They changed the rule so that conferences without divisions could have a championship game. They would change it for the SEC.

Use the same tiebreaker that is used now if there is a 3-way division tie.

Do not support.

An alignment where the three historically strongest teams in one division are UT, Arky and SCarolina, and the three weakest teams in the other division are MSU, TAMU and us?

North v South makes more sense and would be so fun.

Competition wise it would be a disaster. Damn northerners.

I would like to see Auburn in the east....move Missouri to West.

I had initially hoped that playing T A&M would help us recruit Houston players. Nope!

I would prefer seeing us consistently play Florida and Tennessee over LSU and Texas A&M.
