I’m sorry I said something negative.

I’ve had a bad day.

I’ll quit posting until things improve.

Joiner has every tool to be a very good running back. He's not the hardest worker there ever was but he did what is/was necessary to be ready for football.

Unless something has gone off the rails I'm unaware of he's always been a good, light hearted kid. Jovial i guess you could say.

He will do fine and I don't blame him for looking for an opportunity some place else.

My only complaint is we used him as a wildcat in some mob up games and ran the read pretty good a couple times but in a game the magnitude of UGA Joiner couldn't run the wildcat at 6-3 235ish... I like Pegues and all but he ain't no wildcat at 300 lbs.

I hope he goes to Kentucky and he and Gatewood run the zone read all over the SEC!

Three of #Auburn's top four 2018 recruits either transferred or are no longer with the program: QB Joey Gatewood, DT Coynis Miller Jr. and RB Harold Joiner.

Matthew Hill is the other one...and he’s apparently not going to get much action aside from ST this year.

He switched to DB?

I thought he looked good at WR.

I’m lost following this player development stuff.

It’s disappointing to see talented guys not thrive.

You had to know something was up when he was not even on the depth chart for the Kentucky game. Who knows but that was a odd situation. A reporter asked about him during one of Gus's pressers and he tip toed around it. Said he would play when he did what they asked him to do. Whatever that means

Something obviously went down somehow

Hope he does well. Wish him the best

When you have a coach that cannot develop talent whT do you expect? We are The USC of the western division...

Wouldn't that be awesome? That's a big backfield that would be hard to stop.

That’s what I was hoping Gus would do last year. Could you imagine? Especially late in games when teams are tired? That is a clock grinding, chain moving duo.

But, not for us. Let’s start our 5’5” RB and run him between the tackles.

Exactly who I was thinking of Rhino.

All this bullshite on here about well he could play some RB, he could play slot, he could be an HB. I kept saying, every position you mention there are about five people there, hell half a dozen in this vaunted HB/TE position.

And you are gonna tell me he is not more gifted than most of them.

Bet your arse MAR is next man up, and he will go to Miami and on to a fruitful career in the NFL playing with Joiner and Gatewood.

Gatewood may make the NFL at another position. Will not be as a QB.

I wouldn’t have used him that way, but more of slot/TE type.

But we never use a TE, so no point in a TE coming to this heap of garbage.

Thats what I thought. But the board assured me that the TE/HB postion was actually three slots on the field not one, so we could have three people playing at the same time. That was the argument, though I have yet to see us use a 2 TE set with a fullback more than once a decade.

Granted, in the past a lot of our players who transferred were head cases, but with the portal as an option now, you will see some good ones opt out to play where a coaching staff realizes their potential, you know like uh Joe Burrow or Justin Fields. Gatewood was picked up by Stoops and Id say the Stoops family has a wee bit better eye for talent than Gus.
