The band needs to learn some Tchaikovsky, pronto.

We should refer to the heads coach as Czar and assistant coaches as Commisars.

Fans/alums are comrades.

“Orange Army” defense.
Base offense “Blueshevik revolution.”

Any recruit named Peter is now “Peter the Great.”

Now for the hard questions.

Will he want and be able to keep Durkin? It would certainly be a plus having DJ back at DC

Are most of our recruits, the ones we want to keep, be on board with him and giving it another try?

?????? ????

ETA: Chickens site will not let me paste Russian. Off to the help board

Please don’t do this. The entire Soviet Union angle plays into areas of his family’s life that we have no idea about. God forbid they fled the former Soviet Union and we start making light of it with ridiculous nicknames.

If I am Deuce Knight or any WR on this Auburn team, I am ecstatic at getting to play in Golesh's offense.

The rumors that said we were trying to get him yesterday also said he was friends with Durkin and would be open to hiring him.

By himself Golesh is a decent hire in a normal hiring situation, but in this crazy coaching carousel he's a very solid hire. Combine him with Durkin at DC and he has the potential to be a very good hire.

His South Florida team won 8 games in 4 years before his hiring. The year before he was hired they finished 1-11. He had them in a bowl year 1. They have been bowl eligible all 3 seasons he was their HC. He has produced 23 wins over the last 3 years when again they had won 8 total in 4 years prior to his arrival.

Oh and his QB… one of a handful of qbs ever who have had a 3000 yard passing season with 1000 rushing yards.

We hired a no nonsense communist born Russian. We about to roll

My first thought was wondering if he had any eligibility left.

This is great news! I was really hoping to continue the tradition of who should call plays.

Just for visibility, incentives built into the contract include money for wins after 8. Cohen really wants us to get where we need to be
