It's a really good hire. Anyone pointing to his win loss record is ignoring the baked in 2 or 3 losses these types of teams take for paydays every single year.

I honestly dont know a lot about him but the people here around Tampa really like him.
Will be interesting anyway.

USF won 4 games in the previous 3 years before Golesh took over.
His first year there, he got the to 7 wins-and yes some of those losses were rent a wins from bigger programs.
I can’t wait to see what he does with Deuce. This should be great news to our offensive skill players.

2023 7-6 lost to # 10 Alabama, and won 7 games despite going 1 -11 the previous year
2024 7-6 again but this time with losses to #4 Bama #8 Miami, Tulane and Sumrall
2025 8-3 started hot with wins against Boise and UF before losing to #5 Miami
Those are 9 or 10 win teams without the payday losses

In the 3 years before Golesh arrived, USF had a total of 4 wins (including just 1 the year before). He won 7 games his 1st season, 8 this season, including beating UF and came within a FG of beating Miami.
I don't see how you can not be impressed.

LFG!!!
I started looking into Golesh a few weeks ago when his name popped up for like five minutes. Was very intrigued being such an offensive guru.
But just seemed like they were all Sumrall so didn’t even contemplate him being the guy.
I love he was recruiting coordinator at most of his stops as well.
Hopefully this is finally the guy. I think all AU fans should be cautiously optimistic with this hire. I’m just so thankful to not be sick to my stomach this morning like the last few hires

Not excited. We'll be the dumpster of the SEC for a while
Other than Kiffin, there are not big name coaches available and in case you have not noticed; big name coaches are not exactly knocking our door down

Hopefully his offensive prowess convinced Deuce and Coleman to stay. That would be his biggest recruiting victory to start.

He can recruit!
He can call an offense!
He wants to be here!
I'm excited for this hire

Worth mentioning I think this hire is a big plus as far as Knight is concerned.

I am in the same boat. This season still has me too broken to be optimistic. BUT, come A-day next year itll be back to our best team since Nick Marshall
