Auburn better hope somebody other than TJ Finley wins this QB race.

I’m going to state the obvious here. Auburn is in trouble if he is the starting QB. He’s not the answer; not even close. It will be the finishing touch on Bryan Harsin’s tenure in Auburn and he likely doesn’t make it past December…if he isn’t fired sooner. It would prove a monumental failure of an off-season after losing Bo Nix.

2-8 as a starter
56% completion percentage
QBR of 120

We need Zach Calzada or Robby Ashford to make a move.

It will be Calzada that’s why he transferred here. Finley will probably be the backup tho

I’m cool with that.

We know he can win big games. We’ve seen the potential.

I can’t say the same of TJ Finley.

He’s an intriguing guy.

How crazy would it be for Oregon’s QB4 to transfer to Auburn and start, while Auburn’s QB1 transferred there to start?

I remember watching Hoover vs Pinson Valley on tv, because I wanted to see Nix. Ashford’s first high school start: 20-27 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns. The game was televised because of Nix and George Pickens, but Ashford stole the show.

I wouldn't put much thought into who is running with the 1's until maybe the end of next week.

Kinda proud of some of you who are not happy with high 50% completion rates and terrible QBRs. I have been on this train for a few years now.

They’re both mediocre QBs with the one difference that Calzada had one big win that he led. I know Finley isn’t very popular here but he’s not much worse than Calzada either. Calzada has more TDs but they both had around a 56% completion percentage and negative rushing yards for the whole season. I don’t feel one way or another if either of them starts. Y’all should’ve melted with me months ago when it was more appropriate for a melt. It’s game hype time now.

I’m guessing whoever runs with the ones directly after scrimmage Saturday will win the job. But we also have Mercer first week.

I think the coaches are realizing Calzada’s shoulder might not hold up. Reports are that when he’s not running with the offense, he has his sling on.

No sling. Shoulder protector much like Marlon wore and Colby Wooden has worn. But a smaller style. To keep from hyperextending his shoulder.

You never know. TJ best chance of success is to be a game manager and not make mistakes

HIs non throwing shoulder isn’t going to hold up after having to look at Tiktok videos all summer of Calzada supposedly having that zip back?

Guess he shouldn’t have asked for some Smoke Monday

That poses the question… Does Auburn have the offensive talent to justify only having a game manager?

I don’t see it.

Depends on run blocking from the OL. And ability to get open and catch by the WRs. If we get quality play in those areas I think a game manager can work.

Auburn Crazy!

So, if one quarterback can run and all three possess merely adequate passing skills, are the two equals numbers 2 and 3 ?

The Calzada freak out based on fall camp going exactly as predicted is insane
