He needs to have a convo with Trey and KD. Produce or the minutes won't be there.

Been linked to several guys in the portal including some guards and 4’s and 5’s. I’ll try to compile a list

I'm not a huge fan of Broome but if we want to compete next year we need to pay the man what it takes.

You’re not a huge fan of Broome? Our all-American? Not really sure what to do with that information.

He’s gone tho

Big fan of his game, and I stated earlier in the season he turned into a much better player than I thought he would be. I am not a fan of his on court demeanor, though he did rein it in some toward the end of the year unlike CBM. Still whines way too much for my liking though.

I'm sure but where is he going to go, what kind of money is out there for a fringe pro or in Europe? Is it more than he could get staying at Auburn?

The best players in some of the European leagues make in the millions. Most guys try the NBA and GLeague though and only go overseas once they know the NBA isn’t going to happen, so they can make more money. It would likely take close to $1mil to keep him.

If they are looking this strongly at guards, it does make you wonder if Tre or Aden are going to look elsewhere or be asked to. I feel like Bruce really likes Denver and wants to keep him but to bring in a transfer along with Pettiford, somebody is odd man out. The front court is the obvious portal additions for next season.

I will also add this. Bruce and staff haven't hit the portal for high profile players outside of Kessler since this whole NIL started. I'm not sure how much is in the cards for the staff to bring in more than one (at least on paper) high profile transfers. Look at the list of transfers since the 21'-22' season:
1. Walker (NC)
2. Zep (College of Charleston)
3. Wendell (Eastern Ky)
4. KD (Georgia)
5. Broome (Moorehead St)
6. Jones (FIU)
7. CBM (NW Fl (juco) / SDU / Duquesne)
8. Johnson (UAH)
9. Scott (Navarro (juco))

I'm prepared to see and hear some names I know nothing about and will wonder how their game will translate to P5. As I've said before, I believe being a college basketball coach is the toughest in college athletics.

Get ready for the uncertainty, crazy and frustrating offseason known as roster management.

Let’s start with what we have or should have next season. I’m not buying that Tre or Aden is leaving or being asked to leave. Granted Bruce will not baby them this offseason or in season next year. They both have a full year of playing every game.

1 - Aden/Tre
2 - Denver/Pettiford
3 - CBM/ Howard
4 - Chaney/Portal
5 - Portal/Portal

Granted I have mentioned before if Bruce wants Dylan to come back I think he would. So 2-3 portal players. Scott will be the 11th player. I wouldn’t mind adding another wing player to get to 12 players. Maybe a great athlete to develop from some small school

if you got fouled so many times with no calls as Broome did, youd be whiney too

I don't think I've ever seen Broome whine when he wasn't actually fouled.. and I can't say the same for other guys. Dude gets drilled

Understood but why (if 94's list is correct) is the staff looking at all these guards? If they are looking at guards with a already 2 deep roster as you pointed out, somethings got to give. It's just an observation based on 94's list of portal interest players.

And I'll add, I'm of the opinion that Bruce is the type coach that will not give up on kid just because he didn't play to his potential as a freshman. I think some coaches are quicker than others to kick a kid the curb but Bruce loves him some coachable, dedicated, underdog players.

Big "IF's" here but I'll say this, IF Aden, Tre or even Denver leave, it's their decision. IF CBM leaves, it might be the staff's decision.

Might already know that KD or someone else isn’t coming back. Who knows? Those guards listed could be a 1 or a 2

I'm already convinced KD isn't coming back for a 5th year. I'm just going with Corch's backcourt depth chart of Aden, Tre, Denver & Tahaad. I'm guessing there might be a "someone else" as you said if they are considering adding another guard to roster. And I'm talking a legit 1 or 2 guard, not some depth player. I don't see any of the players you listed as a scholarship depth Addarin Scott type player.
