This. Jabari should want the ball and control games like this with his caliber of talent, but haven’t seen him do it yet.

Agreed and Wendell and KD played very selfishly today. They are volume shooters and gonna take a lot of shots but when they are putting 3 defenders on the pick and roll and 1 out on Jabari you have to find the open guy outside. He can shoot, drive, or reset. Then turnovers not good UGA is scrappy but not good defensively.
Maybe I’m over analyzing things and just one of those games where it wasn’t our game yet we pulled it out.

We didn’t get the ball enough to Jabari and Kessler. Only 7 shots each is not enough.
Our guards did way too much 1 on 1 and taking shots.

Today was the first day not having a pure spot up shooter really showed up. Need Lior back for days like this. That or Flanigan, Cambridge, JayWill have got to get to around 35% from 3.

I was wondering why Berman didn’t play in they put Preston Cook in. Preston Cook is not confident with the ball in his hands. I thought Lior played quite well earlier in the year.

Cook played because we just needed someone to handle the ball so Green could catch a breather. I wonder if he was a little gassed by the end today.

Wendell could have been a little tired his jump shot on as falling short front iron everything late so probably his legs. That’s what we do to people late in games but Green isn’t used to playing 36 minutes only about 26-27 minutes

We needed that game. Great for the team. Great win and experience battling through. Also great gut check. Lots of stupid mistakes. Lots of dumb turnovers. Also highlighted good defensive needs.
