There are a few insiders on the Bunker corroborating the news. Marsh just posted a somewhat cryptic IG post last night that alluded to Auburn...we shall see. It would absolutely epic if it happens.

Not sure if there's some sarcasm from you there or not. It depends on how you look at it. I think that entire post may be about the Auburn job.

I'm surprised Marsh wants to relocate all the way from Cali.
I thought he stayed in Calif bc of family. Hard to give up that type of weather out there. Maybe his kids are all out of college and doing other things in life?

Another thing...Is it possible that AD Greene cut Taylor lose so early bc they had already gotten feelers that MArsh was letting them know he was interested? Mmmmmm...

Marsh's last season at Auburn was 2007, but he's been around Auburn and college swimming ever since then.
Marsh has a daughter who's a junior at Auburn, and another daughter coaching at Tulane. I think most if not all of his kids are in the south.
I've thought about the whole timing of Taylor's 'mutual departure' as well. If anything, I thought it was done pretty late as the season ended after NCAA's on March 27th...so perhaps there was an additional 'reason' besides the team's performance that served at an impetus to let him go??

As I posted in the Wochomurka being hired thread the rumor is Marsh wanted to bring a current NC winning HC onto his staff, but AG balked and didn't want that and thought it'd be out of budget. So TIFWIW. JGT was right about him having interest it just didn't work out. Again just a rumor
