quote:That's an easy take considering what we've seen so far. But, I think change is at hand. We've got at take charge HC, and looks like he's asserting his self early in his tenure. He benched golden boy, obviously yanked Mason's chain at halftime, fired an assistant, and told the media to frick off. Looks like we may be witnessing a legend in the making.
I wish i had your optimism. LSU is going to pass all over our shitty zone defense. long night ahead for the AU faithful

No clue about this one, but why not 24-21 AU.

I think this is going to depend on which QB we go with and our WR play after the Corn firing. LSU is likely going to key on our RBs so I doubt we’ll get much going running wise, so it’s a matter of can we make them pay in the passing game when they load the box.
If we don’t change anything defensively, I think our zone play will get torched once again. Hopefully we change things up a bit and can make some plays this week, but I don’t know why I would expect them to play differently this week after 4 weeks of the same stuff.
I’m waiting until later in the week to make my prediction. But this is a winnable game even with all the crap going on.

I think LSU has better QB and WR than penn state so it may be a long game. Maybe 35-24 LSU if we play the way we have been.
I think we could win though if we make some adjustments. Mainly we need to either have an actual pass rush or stop playing zone as much

Meh, their D line and linebackers haven't been very effective at stopping the run. Their LBer play has looked slightly better than what we looked like I. The first half against GA St.
Their secondary is most definitely their strength on defense. So if we don't commit to running the football to make them stack the box like you said, I may end up breaking everything in my living room.
On defense for us, LSU just flat cannot run the ball this year. Their O line is porous. If Mason doesn't blitz Johnson, he is good enough to pick us apart. We HAVE TO make him uncomfortable, so if we are gonna insist in sitting back in zone, the staff is gonna have to get creative with stunts and blitz packages. The LSU run game isn't a threat at all so the backers and secondary better know what they're doing.

Are news on if they are getting that ineligible running back eligible?

As far as I know it was an academic issue where he took a wrong course or didn't have enough hours or something like that during the summer semester. Something like he doesn't have enough credits, so I'm not sure they'll be able to get him eligible at all this semester.

23-21 LSU
We take the lead with like 6 seconds to play and LSU returns the kick for a winning TD

This is a big game for this program. A lot of teams experience a transition year under a new coach when there is a big culture shift, and it's not entirely unusual to lose some stupid games as a result (LA Monroe for Bama and several close calls for Kirby his first year at UGA). But we need that big statement game where things start to come together and allow us to start building momentum toward the future. This could be that game. We have seen flashes on defense, and have a stable of good running backs. We just need a little help from our passing game.
I'm not giving up hope yet.
AU: 34
LSU: 17
