If we did not get Boom per PMarsh. Not sure I believe it but thought it would be an interesting thread.

He might've been on our list, but there's no way he would've left UGA after one season... that would've been two moves in 12 months.

If he & Richt were having issues even then I guess it's possible.

Pruitt may have seen UGA was going Titanic and is from Alabama. I don't think it is too out of the question

IDK. His love for UA is on Updyke levels. Bowl can comment on a more detail level, but from what I hear about his time at Hoover, he was an odd bird. Wouldn't put it past him, tho.

PM is very well connected with insiders. No reason not to trust his info here.

As far as Pruitt goes. Richt doesn't like the overwhelming Bama influence Pruitt brought with him to UGA. What exactly that means I don't know.

PM might get some things right, but if he claimed this, he is dead wrong. There was a 0% chance of CJP becoming our DC last year.

This, too, is wrong. If Richt didn't like the structure, enthusiasm, and desire to win that CJP brings to the table, he would not have given him the raise and additional responsibilities he did after their first year together.

Nice to meet you Coach Pruitt. Should you be getting ready for UK instead of posting on message boards?

That came straight from WSJ and the people they interviewed within UGA. Richt doesn't like the bama presence within the uga club. I don't know what that means but it could be Pruitt and who he brought with him an o-line coach I think.

Why is it so impossible that we would've targeted Pruitt?

I don't think PM is saying we would've got him.

Assuming Pruitt's ultimate goal was to be HC at Alabama, taking the AU job and doing well there wouldn't impact that in the slightest. If anything, showing he can be a DC in the state, recruit well and coach at a high level probably would be a plus

Glad we got Muschamp but I don't think Pruitt being partial to Alabama would have affected his desire or ability to coach here
