So you mean all of those memories of my high school coaches screaming at me about the intensity, importance, and passion of 6A football are now obsolete?

Yes. Would be one of the weakest if it were in 6A or 5A.

No Oxford, and Hewitt-Trussville and Thompson are going to take it on the chin in Region 3.

Yup! Region 3 is the new Region 5 and will be beastly as usual. Region 2 will be beastly at times also.

It's weird to see Auburn and Opelika not in the same class or region for the first time in forever.

What's the requirement for getting into 7a?

Mountain Brook's not exactly a large high school.

Mtn. Brook is only 3 grades at the actual high school and is still around 1200 or so. That is pretty big.

Depends on the sport. Football probably, but region 4 currently occupies half of the top 10 in the latest 6A girls basketball rankings. And most years boys basketball is the same.

We play basketball up north, still trying to catch up in football.
