Baylor (ATL)
So Miss
Florida
Vandy

At Tennessee
BYE
At UGA
LSU
At Ole Miss
Arkansas
At MSU
Samford

At Bama

This is with the assumption that Golesh is going to fix Freeze's offensive game planning issues while Durkin maintains our defensive prowess. We saw how quickly our offense could turn around. We nearly beat @Vanderbilt and hung with Alabama. I would hope that keeping our best players and filling in with some portal guys will help our offense only continue to improve.

Bolded in the schedule are games we SHOULD win. If we are now an up and coming program with a solid head coach who prepares us to compete every week and is setting us on a track to be a championship caliber team in the future, then we should not lose to lesser programs (Baylor, cupcakes, Miss State, and Arkansas). We should not be outpaced by a team in a similar situation as us (Florida). We need to make statements by winning those games. No more Kentucky's. No more Missouri's.

Vanderbilt is losing Pavia. While I have no doubt Vanderbilt will be a battle, we get them at home. No matter the landscape of college football, we should ALWAYS be better than Vanderbilt on the gridiron. Considering we took them to the wire in Nashville and Pavia's stellar play pulled it out, we should win.

As for @Tennessee, LSU, and @Ole Miss, I feel we should win 1-2 of these. Again, that's if Golesh has us moving in the right direction from the start. I don't think Ole Miss will be all that great with the turmoil. I predict that to be a good opportunity to win. @Tennessee will be the toughest outing, so I'll cave there.

LSU will be tough, but again, it's a home game. If we want to rekindle the voodoo of Jordan Hare, then we need to pull out the upset.

@Georgia and @Bama are most likely losses. Maybe not. But being realistic, I have no prediction that Golesh can have us that competitive in those games in year one.

8-4, 9-3.

Why shouldn't I expect this?

I just want a winning season and a bowl game. After that I'll raise my expectations

Exactly. Miss St wouldn't say it's depressing the same way we would. And we want to be back, right?

So if that's going to happen, we need to see improvement. In 8-9 places on the schedule, we can see that improvement.

Why should we expect to lose to any of the bolded teams? Why shouldn't we upset at least one of Tennessee, LSU, or Ole Miss? That's all we need.

I think a lot of it depends on who will be QB.

If Byrum Brown comes, my expectations are going to get pretty high. He already knows the offense and is a baller. We could be a very dangerous team.

If Daniels or Deuce start, I'd be pretty happy with 7-8 wins. New system.

I agree. Bowl game and improved offense/identity, and year 1 is a success.

You should expect it as the absolute floor.

Any Auburn "man" who disagrees should have his balls checked. So he should call his wife and ask her to take his balls out of her purse and drop them off at the doctor's office for a quick examination.

The payback tour starts September 5, 2026 and runs through the end of the year.

You are insane. It's too early for these ridiculous threads.

Should be 6-6 and get to a bowl

Go from there

We don't even know our roster

How can we possibly set a minimum win total when we have no idea what the roster is going to look like.

With incoming high school kids and then portal kids we are probably close to 50 new players on the roster. Since we can now have 105 on scholarship. So if we keep the 55 we want that is currently on the roster that's good but I doubt we keep all of the 55 we want we will lose some but can make it up in the portal. So let's get the roster set then I'll have an idea about expectations.

General Waverly (From White Christmas) said,

“One thing I learned in the Army was to be optimistic, especially if you don’t know what you’re talking about.”

So, 16-0, ‘ship!!!

This!!

The Golesh hire is growing on me but let's be clear, dude hasn't won anything yet. His best season at USF was this year and he finished 4th in that conference. He's gonna need time.

This equals “pissing in the wind”

Until the dust settles in the exodus in the trade portal and the players obtained from the same…..no one in their right mind can predict. For or against Auburn.

Losses and gains…..
