Nice tape, lots of yards after the carry.
And his blocking is VERY nice, pushing guys into the sidelines on 10 yard blocks, very nice.

Definitely needs to work on his quickness off the line but he does a lot of things you can’t really coach, very well.

Strange the number 2 DL in a talent rich state like Florida is only a 3*. I know offers mean much more but how are they rating these guys?

I'd expect we get a commitment from QB Gary Chatman Jr sooner rather than later from what i'm seeing on the twitterverse. Not discounting that we just got beat out for Abrams & Mencl, but Chatman has had his recruitment really explode as of late. Seems a lot of teams are getting interested in him.

Just from all the things I have seen on the net.....
Sounds like the coaches really wanted Menci and it didnt work out. They really like Tia and this fall will decide how they progress with the room. So you take Chatman because you need another QB in the room given the portal era. You see how Tia progresses during the fall, and if it does not look promising for him to start next year, you take the money you saved on Menci and go to the portal.
Chatman is raw, fast, and has good arm strength. He is "listed" at 190. He is developmental, but certainly has a lot of upside.

He will be interesting to how he performs in the fall. Last year was really his first year playing QB at the varsity level.

All my Georgia coaching buddies said he’s raw, but talented.
Also saw that Cole compared him to Malik Willis and I think that’s fair.

It baffles me that HS QBs are still willing to committ to Auburn after what has been displayed on the field the past 13 or so years.

I definitely can see some upside with that throwing motion. That’s a whippy release.
