FWIW, Offord said that in Nashville last week before he visited Auburn (Grady and Autry weren’t in Auburn last weekend). He also said he was going to OV at Auburn during the fall, before changing his mind less than 24 hours later, and then changing his mind to stay in Auburn Sunday versus swinging by Tuscaloosa.
I said this before with Offord, but he’s saying what he is supposed to be saying. The source article reporter asked him if he was recruiting Grady and Autry to OSU, since they’re both OV’ing OSU and both are from Alabama. Offord naturally said yes

Very well put Jones. FWIW, I don't think Offord makes it out of state and comes down to us and Bama in the fall. With Hugh's quote that he's all in on him and won't lose him, I'm more optimistic.

I think we land Schull and Ward to close out the OL.
I think we get Offord and Fegans on the back end.
I think we end up with Cunningham and another really good WR.
We pick up another good to elite DT and add Edwards back in the class.
I think we land Winters.
We hold Faulk and get another top Edge and hold Autry.
Juju is the wildcard. I think we are everything he wants and close to home. I think he’s extremely talented but I think he wants a legit chance to start next season and I’m not sure a 17 year old is ready for the big show. So I’m not sure at the end of the day if Freeze will invest what the family is going to want to start out with as far as $. I had more confidence a couple weeks ago but the longer he stays committed to USCw the less I think it’s he doesn’t land at AU. He needs to be the face of the program for whatever team he signs with and he’s missing his opportunity at AU

Corch, I just wonder if Juju would cost more the first go around or if he comes cheaper via the portal if he sits on the bench at his landing choice out of HS? I just wonder how patient he and his team will be sitting behind anyone for any length of time. Kid is super young and super talented, but taking reigns at his age in year 1 at a major college program seems like a pipe dream. I just wonder if his expectations are in alignment with his more than likely reality.
