we hake a potential fan fave coming.
Saw him in person a couple weeks ago and he is one of the best DL I've seen in person in HS. He was just engaging on run plays and reaching out woth one hand and yanking Oxford's RB to the ground with the outstretched hand. He did that multiple times. It was pretty crazy to see.

"this is pro football without a salary cap" and unlimited free agency.

It's unfortunate but some of you guys are going to have to come to realization there is nothing we can do to compete with the top dogs in NIL.
From a recruiting standpoint, unfortunately, this is probably the peak for us.

Auburn HS RB Omar Mabson just reclassified to 2025.
3* on the paysites, but I think the eval is probably pretty old. Has great offers, including Auburn, Bama, UGA, Tenn, UF, USC, and so on.
Gotta think the auburn staff will be involved.
He had 1500+ yards rushing this season and 29 TDs

Eh. Probably a great kid and good work ethic but an undersized power back?
I know the staff liked him ok for next cycle. Seems like a weird move for the kid. Plus I would imagine he wouldn’t be available to join the team until summer. I’d go portal hunting for a hammer style running back.

Could see him being a greyshirt potential with us now officially seeming like the scholarship limitations are going to change after this year.

That’s a possibility.
If I were the Auburn staff I would encourage him to return to high school and work on his speed. He’s quick but not fast

Universities have to pay salaries with donations from the same people that are building the facilities and funding the programs.
That will be changing with revenue sharing. The revenue-sharing model proposed in the settlement — which still needs approval from a federal judge — and agreed to by the NCAA, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, Atlantic Coast and Southeastern conferences would allow schools to direct up to 22% of the average power league school’s annual revenue to athletes. That comes out to about about $21 million per year, and would rise as revenues rise over the 10-year agreement.
