I just want to know how our big prospect of QB for this year 24 that brought in his own recruits Walker White is panning out at all in practice. I know he didn't get to staying level, and didn't have a great showing in the spring game, but he was last year's big get from high school right?

Walker White is running the scout team offense so we’re not going to really hear much about him this season.

I see he mentioned CJ Wiley, obviously he is reiterating the names the coaches are talking to him about.

I know sites mentioned waay back that we were recruiting this kid, I know Alan Head raves on him whenever he comes up.

Committed to FSU, no one thinks it sticks, but some sites have him a heavy lean to Georgia.

Anyone know, do we have a decent chance with him?

What a pedigree. Dad played pro ball, mom ran track at LSU. six foot almost four, 210 lbs, runs a sub 11, 100. His senior year started off right where he left last year.

I’m tired of us not giving our FR. chances. Give them one series per game for 4 games. Actual passing plays , doesn’t have to be huge games..

We are scared to throw them into the mix early. Then when it’s time, they aren’t fully ready.

What's a freshman going to do in a game we are behind in? Blow a loss for us? I'd rather be sitting at 2-2 having some idea of what we've got in White vs 2-2 with 100% confirmation Thorne is the worst QB Auburn has had this side of Gabe Gross

We also have to develop our other players as well ie WR. Not just a QB. Thorne is the best option for overall team development.

But I wouldn’t mind seeing White for a series every couple of games.

They did 2013-2014 and I have no idea why they stopped. Such a clean look.

2012 we were in clear disarray and Chizik had lost all control. That suckage was a total team effort. Present season we are supposed to be in year 2 of the rebuild and improving. Thorne has gotten worse while, at the same time, surrounded by better

Let him, Walker, and a portal qb battle for it next year and let’s do this shite.

This is the path to glory right here. I don't care what is said about WW and/or Deuce Knight. We need a QB with P4 experience that doesn't throw picks like they're going out of style. Bring him in, regardless of cost, and let those three guys battle it out for the QB1 job.

Good interview on The Barn with Alvin talking about himself, and his friendship with Deuce.

As mentioned before, he's been running scout team for the defense. But I have to imagine he gets a legit shot at the starting job just like any other QB on the roster. Still need an experienced transfer to come in and either win the job outright, or at least elevate the competition so Hank/WW/Deuce elevate their game. Best man for the job wins from there.
