I saw a video on facebook of Brandon Marcello saying despite our recruiting successes that we are holding back on spending NIL until the roster is ready and then we "pay out the wazou" in the transfer portal. He says that's why we didnt go get a transfer portal QB and conveniently enough I said that then too.

Nah: any equivalent freak talent at whatever position we need to make the roster whole.
Best example is instead of us starting a TF QB in 2019 we go get a veteran first round talent.

No top tier QB would sign up to play with the roster we had 1 year ago, Thorne was as good as we could hope for. OL and WR group improves, level of QB we can attract improves. We are spending NIL to build for sustained success (we haven't seen much of that) instead of have a 1 or 2 year window of success. We are trying to.eliminate the short term extreme highs and lows with a ton of average in between. At least that's what im.seeing

I can see us going often a 1 year transfer at QB for next season depending on how Hank and/or Holden progress.
Walker and Deuce if on the roster will still need a year. Deuce is more raw than Walker was at this point in his high school career. Both have incredible upside.
