Not to crap on coach Dye but he was the first to ummm bring in the Husky power tradition to the SEC. He got great players tho and juiced them up and won.
Deca or D-ball would make some massive improvements in development lol that’s no knock on Coach Dye either. Go back and look how much bigger we were then most teams in that era. Bigger, stronger, faster… wins!

Yeah, I grew up with a guy who was on the weightlifting team when Kaz was hanging around Auburn. (Bo, Barkley, and Hurt were there then) I know a lot of the weightlifters and football players "worked" with him. That dude blew up. He was always a chunky guy. His waist was the smallest it had been since maybe elementary school.

You guys are part of the problem impacting recruiting. The coach has been here one season. The failed coup really hurt AU recruiting and this thread talking about replacement candidates acerbates the situation. Best thing we can do is support the coaches and see if we can have a good season. The recruits are positive on AU and staff but not willing to commit with the concerns the coach will get fired. We’re doing it to ourselves and I for one am tired of this. This thread needs to get back to recruiting news. Charles is right.

Yep be sure to hire all Auburn former players no matter how shitty they are at coaching! Or how little experience they have

Doesn’t matter. Former Auburn player, hire them all

I mean, Auburn has plenty of former players that are coaches now and some of them are damned good.
I would love to have a staff that consisted of Travis Williams, Zac Etheridge, Caddy Williams, T-Rob, Rodney Garner, etc
Dameyune Craig as an analyst, along with Trovon Reed.

Auburn presents it's own challenges, who better to navigate those than people who know it?

Every school has its own challenges. That doesn’t mean that those who played there are automatically the best qualified to run the program.

If we do end up looking for a new coach, who realistically would we get to take it at this point that would be ideal? That whole shitshow hurt us there too.
Yes, every school has challenges. But we get in our own way like nobody else

As expected Jelani Thurman picks Ohio State, but Dukes says his recruitment is far from over and says Auburn will be in it until December.

That's just him trying to put a positive spin on it. They can't afford for all their viewers to get pissed and stop paying for recruiting info lol. I'm sure we will keep trying to recruit him, I don't think he's going to care too much though lol.

Think of all the NIL that could go to players as opposed to fired coaches. Are they really gonna give millions to OL or QB’s when we are paying CGM and CBH buyouts?
No one is able or gonna waste that kinda dough! Maybe instead of firing CBH put the $$$ to NIL?

I agree Rig we are no different then any other school out there. Like I said if it were for those evil PTB everyone shits on we would t have the program that we have because for years they funded everything. Now with new TV contracts the university doesn’t need them as much so you don’t see the info that so and so donated 16 million for this or this person donated 25 million to upgrade that. But they are still around

Yes....somehow, despite ourselves. When (actually long before for anyone who has a functional memory) a coaching change occurred, far too many message board warriors, "fans", boosters, PTB were already propagating some self-fulfilling prophesies. Am I wrong?
Just as too many of these people, or people just like them, continue to do today. Am I wrong?

Y’all dipshits no one is pulling against Harsin. But I’m the 3rd recruiting cycle he’s be a part of as Auburn’s coach isn’t shocking you and worrisome then I don’t know why you read the recruiting thread.
