His quick release and ability to throw the deep ball were his best attributes coming out of HS. His arm strength is not an issue. At the ~50 second mark on your video, he throws is effortlessly 45-50 yards on the money. What a laughable comment.

Burrow is a tired example but the right coach and subsequent experience can unlock a lot of potential.
That’s not going to happen often but I think Geriner has a chance to be something. Nowadays, when guys don’t transfer, it makes me think they’re doing well enough

He checks every box you need. Who knows how he develops, but he has everything you need. If I’m being honest, it may be sacrilege but he reminds me a lot of Tyler Watts coming out of high school.

I agree. I am stunned so many Auburn fans are writing him off so soon. We have multiple guys on staff now who have proven they can develop QB's.

Yep. He has the tools to run the Chad Kelly offense from Ole Miss. it’s all a question mark with him still for sure, but I think he can shine in a Freeze passing attack. Robby can do well too, but his passing needs to improve by leaps and bounds. Willis was miles ahead of Robby passing when he was here, and he was still very rough.

Thats one of the things I noticed on his tapes, he makes his reads and boom the ball is gone, it may be back to the first or second receiver on his progression of three, but once he make the reads its gone, or he is scrambling because none are open.
But that has to have Freeze salivating in his offense.

If he had been under Freeze for a year we would not even be looking in the portal. As it is, he has gotten no development so we do need a QB from the portal.
