Do we expect to get the Baylor guard tonight?

Mazzccua — he’s down to Nebraska, Auburn, and Florida. It seems like it’s Nebraska or AU, and there’s folks on both sides that feel good about it. So no telling as of right now

I think Auburn could push for the Bama OL transfer George if Mazzccua goes to Nebraska

The issue is that they haven’t updated the players transfer rating. Some still show the HS rating

They’ve managed to rate 4 of our 10 transfers so our ranking is essentially based off 4 of the 10 guys committed/signed.

I see. I understand it could be hard to rerate 1,500+ players in a matter of weeks.

They will eventually have to hire more people just to track players throughout the year that might transfer instead of doing everyone in a few weeks.

You have to rate ALL the players in all of D1…it’s the best way.

Whatever charm they have a reputation for has mostly disappeared. There's a decent chance my kids could go to Georgia, and my wife hates the idea because she considers the campus unsafe and dirty. She isn't the only woman I've met who feels that way. An acquaintance of ours dropped a child off there recently, and she said it was depressing. She has older children who went to different schools, and Georgia was a downer compared to all of them.

Too bad these frightened women aren't Kirby's demographic.

True. Consider these frightened women the canaries in the coal mine. Maybe the poison gas will one day effect their recruiting.

(Maybe not, because I don't know how any recruit with caring parents is convinced to go to Baton Rouge if they have other options).

Funny thing that's their concern here is Auburn being a sleeping giant that's waking up. Our NIL is strong. If you don't believe that, I can't help you, you poor thing. Not all of us are as cynical with a hatred of Auburn as you I suppose.

You pull for Auburn to fail just so it will fit your narrative, and you can be proven right. You come in here and bitch more than a fat woman at a fast food restaurant. Do us a favor, go be a UGA fan

Athens is a great college town or at least was last time I went (2014). Even though UGA fans suck.

Karen’s opinion doesn’t mean much.

There isn't a single player in this class that could have gone to UGA outside of maybe Faulk. I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings. Saying dumb things doesn't make you a better fan.

i understand your point, but i'm sorry to tell you that uga is the new bama as long as kirby stays there. he knows what it takes to succeed on the recruiting trail and the machine they have built is running as well as could be. barring some sort of scandal, it's not stopping anytime soon. i think one of the mistakes we all made with bama was assuming (out of our disdain for them) that their success would be short-lived. yet here we are ~15 years later. i'm not making the same mistake with underestimating georgia. and unfortunately i find kirby much more annoying than saban.

that being said, i am very impressed with freeze's recruiting chops thus far and i think it will only improve as he has more time. i know we have been waiting for saban to retire and rumors have been increasing in recent years. i think we are in good position to take advantage of his increasing age and whenever he does decide to walk away, freeze's work to establish in-state relationships will exponentially blossom into success.

this is all just my opinion and you can certainly disagree. in fact, i hope i am wrong about kirby and uga

Give it a year. Freeze has been on how long? Following someone who didn't recruit at all. We are starting over, and the results exceed any expectations reasonable people had. Acting like a bitch isn't a good look

There is no reason we can't compete with UGA is there?

We had more success vs Saban than anyone during his height. We did that while employing a coach that didn't recruit OL at all. With a coach competent on recruiting, strong NIL, and the PTB seeming to be on the same page about winning it would be naive to say we aren't going to see better results

Yeah I don’t know about all of them but to think they didn’t want Cobb is foolish

I agree fully. Kirby hasn't had much competition after Gus got stale them the Harsin hire which Kirby knew was a joke. That slime ball used the BOT disfunction, Gus and Harsin to his advantage.
Can't speak for the in state Alabama HS but I do know Freeze and the staff aren't backing down going toe to toe with Kirby and Nick in Georgia for next year. The entire staff is working their butts off.
