Auburn will win every damn game next year. I’ll fight anyone who disagrees.

Meh, or don’t feel small brother recognizing someone’s success. It is what it is and Hugh might have what it takes to compete. I’m encouraged by what I see anyway. We will have the resources and facilities. We just need to start winning and putting more into the NFL which we can with the offense we will run.

Loses 20 games total in what? 15 years but yeah he’s just a recruiter he shouldn’t lose any games ever at all
He hasn't played many Quality teams compared to those 20 losses. He plays 1 or 2 good teams a year on average. His best win this year was OM or Texas without their QB. He has lost to about every quality Offense he has played over that time (unless they put their QB out) and he's supposed to be a great defensive coach. That's ignoring the talent gap he has had over every team during that time.

But again this is Auburn's recruiting thread. Half of Saban's class will be gone in a year or 2 and we will have a shot at them.

You can keep on explaining it away and I only talked about Saban because I saw some silly comments.

At the end of the day he’s kicked our arse more than we’ve kicked his. When that turns around let’s talk. Otherwise I’m done, it’s really not worth the arguments.

Auburn’s success is all that matters at the end of the day and we have some ground to cover. Hopefully we start now.

I still think we need a QB to get on track. That and hopefully the DC can do his job.

The explaining is pretty stupid. Saban has won six nattys. The best ever.

It’s a whole lot more than in-game stuff period. Casuals look at play calling and game management and think that’s all coaching is when in reality it’s just a fraction. Culture, player development, recruiting, and roster management are huge factors. Choosing your staff is huge as well. Saban is merely good as an in-game coach (makes good adjustments, generally conservative natured with time management and strategy but has had a few blunders in his long career) but he is fantastic in every other aspect.

Can someone do a recap of who is now on our board and some discussion on who a potential transfer QB is.

We will end up with Cobb and the transfer from Ms State so the RB room is set. We will probably get a couple of the transfer OL so we will be fine. Same for DL.

Critical pieces left. LB, even if Woodyard steps up and Love moves to LB we still need help this fall. And obviously the QB position which has to be resolved if we have a chance with guys like Thornton and Rara.

We haven’t been linked to anyone yet but that could change after bowl games. So as of now has to be Robby

or maybe Holden?

I don't understand how some are writing him off already. He did look lost what little he played last year. We have a few on staff right now that are proven developers of the QB.

I remember reading an article some time ago where they said one of the few times Saban was truly pissed at a former coach of his was Dabo.

When did Dabo coach for Saban?

Not impossible I guess but Robby would have to be the prohibitive favorite. Last time he was on the field the offense looked pretty good @Bama even if it was nothing close to the Freeze system

They are still tracking and expected to take a portal QB. Ashford wins by default until then I guess lol...

Apologies if it's already been covered, but why didn't the Fairweather guy send his letter in?

Wasn't he like the first transfer to jump on after Freeze got the job? I know the transfers don't have to adhere to the same signing window as the HS kids, but is he still looking around? Or just waiting to sign later?

Nobody knows what's going on there. Transfer portal guys don't sign NLI's so they're not treated like normal HS signees. However, it was strange that Freeze didn't mention him yesterday. There could be something going on there.

Just like that, J.Lee comes with the update on Fairweather.

Apparently the SEC has flagged him for something non-academic related that came up in his background check that will require more digging before he can be cleared to sign.
