When is today's post practice press conference?

Never mind. It's scheduled for 3:00 CST.

That was 1 person. The scrimmage results were posted by everyone that covers Auburn, but ok.

The scrimmage results

The results don't always tell the story. He could have had a TD pass dropped. A fumble could have stalled a drive. An outstanding defensive play may have stalled a drive. We don't know.

what I saw was Thorne threw two that were just out of bounds and one that was dropped.

I feel like what I saw was two dropped and one where the WR ran out of bounds on the route so it was called back.

I’m just here for the jville melt though.

If calling out pos for posting unfounded rumors is melting, then I guess I’m guilty.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens if Throne throws up another goose egg at the next scrimmage while Ashford leads multiple touchdown drives again. Then what?

And so it begins!!!

I've seen this movie before, and jville is about to be in every game thread trashing any minor mistake by Thorn and refusing to give him any credit for good things.

I hope that’s not true. I can certainly understand disappointment, but throwing a fit would just prove to everyone why Robby is a no go.

Hopefully his reaction has been overblown. Passion is great, but a lack of self control will get him nowhere.

If you listen to what Freeze said, it sounded like he was pleased with all 3 QBs after the scrimmage and was about to put the hammer down on the WR room to get their heads in the game. And there is more to this camp than the scrimmage.

Like he said, he was ready to pull the trigger a week ago, but saw enough from the other QBs to give them some more time to let it play out. We'll, it's a week later and it sounds like Freeze and Monty have seen enough to name a starter.

Robby is going to have packages. He's too good of an athlete to keep off the field. Thatbdoesnt mean he should be the starting QB.

Freeze officially announces Thorne as the starter. Said it wasn’t a slam dunk and hopes everyone handles it right. Interesting verbiage on the “hope everyone handles it right”

ETA: Also says Robby will always have a package in the offense. I remember Freeze really struggling in short yardage situations at OM so curious if that’s where Robby helps out.

Well looks like the full quote was that Robby has a package in the offense if he handles this the right way.

It sounds like the report of him not taking it well was correct.

Freeze is such a bad arse recruiter. In his presser, he just called out all HS WR recruits about coming here to be 1000 yard receivers. Never takes a minute off.

Always recruiting, but also just dropped his nuts on our current WRs to pick it up, too

Let's please not let this turn into a Bo vs. Gatewood type division. All three can be good but one has to be the guy and the guy with the most experience usually wins out.

If the results aren't what they need to be, then next man up.

It def sounded like he is worried about Ashford transferring. He talked a lot about wanting players to stick it out. I don't think Robby threaten to leave or anything though, but I think he's just being a realist about how college football is now.
