Doesn’t Matt Luke have younger kids and want to be around them growing up?

I don’t think he’s interested in the daily grind for now. Maybe an analyst at some point. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind his kids growing up in Auburn.

I think he’s got two teen boys. If Hugh is at Auburn 4-5 years from now I’d assume he’d join the staff. They’ve remained pretty close.

What I’m hearing is the QB race is down to 2. Thorne and Ashford battling for the starting spot. Holden has had a great camp for a redshirt freshman but ain’t gonna make the cut to compete for QB1.

Luke and Freeze are good friends and I doubt the visit means much. Luke is just hanging out.

I think Ashford is the best QB, but I don’t see how Throne passed Holden after the reports from Saturday.

You don’t say.

Probably because he has been ahead of him the whole time.

The reports weren’t bad for Thorne he just didn’t have a TD that “officially” counted. It’s closer than most thought prior to the fall practice but I would still give Thorne the slight edge.

And that’s exactly what you want. Thorne pushed and Ashford improved. Now down to 2 guys more reps with the 1’s to get a more clear picture

Reading between the lines it seems like Thorne and Robby were the top too before the scrimmage, and then Holden in third. Holden performing so well in the scrimmage made Hugh give him a second look on film. After review it wasn’t enough to put him in contention with Robby and Thorne.

Reminder for everyone, coaches aren’t going to be looking solely at stat-lines (like “Thorne didn’t throw a TD”). They’re looking at accuracy, right reads, command of the offense, pace, and other things that no one outside of the coaching room has a clue on.

I’m encouraged that Robby has seemingly improved his passing enough to push Thorne. Either way, I feel much better than I did this time last year.

All of the speculation is fun but what I haven't seen on here is the following:

QB-1 - Throne
QB-2 - Holden
QB-3 - Ashford

Just because he can run doesn't make him the best. He still has to throw to where our WRs can catch it. Maybe the bottom two is what got switched in CHF mind on Sat. Who the f knows but we will soon know. Keep the competition going... Also in game reps for all at some point in the season...

It’s Thorne then Ashford with the starting spot legitimately still up for grabs. Most think Thorne slightly leads.

Holden is in 3rd.

I like Holden as much as the next guy but Freeze is going with either Thorne or Ashford if both remain healthy

Do we know for sure that Geriner redshirted last year? I think I remember ol' jackass didn't actually redshirt him. Anyone on the paysites ask about this. I assume if not that we would use it this year, but I just want confirmation on it.

Not trying to be a stubborn about it, but is there a source for that? I could def be wrong, but I really think Harsin didn't redshirt him.
