It is kind of shocking we haven't been doing anything with OL transfers it seems.
I'm both impressed by this staff in what they're doing w/r/t the portal, but disgusted that this its what college football has become. I think what Harsin is doing with his "free agent" signings is very smart and great.

I agree I think they have done a good job. Obviously we don't know what all they are doing behind the scenes. We just all know we have a big OL issue.

And at that, the big issue is the OT position. I’m not too worried about guards right now. I’d rather build both of those positions from high school or FR/SO transfers

100%. OT is the issues. Hell, Hamm should be playing guard. We need some OT's badly.

Troy WR Kaylon Geiger is in the portal now.
1600 yards receiving last 2 seasons. Profiles as a slot guy. Cornelius Williams was his coach there.
Not sure if there’s interest but he would be a grad transfer with one year of eligibility

I have zero inside information, but this HAS to be one of those "we're talking to WRs and OLs through back channels" things right? Seems like a very obvious move for us with a murky WR rotation and his former WR coach now at Auburn.

I think its def reasonable to think that. Competition is probably pretty fierce for certain players.. it benefits them to keep the names they are interested in out of the media so more teams don't try to get them.

Heard tonight that Sean Jackson is probably going to walkon at AU. Not sure the walkon specifics but anyone that knows me knows I love Sean.
Over 3100 yards in his career 25 TDs. 8.7 yards per carry. 5’9” probably about 235. I expect he will trim down to 215. Beast of a blocker, very agile, great hands, very quick, fast but not break away fast.

Especially Sean. Heart for days. Elite athlete.
AU and UK both are “recruiting” him to walkon.
Most underrated player in the state by far and it ain’t close. Armoni got all the glory and is an elite player but when it was 3rd and 2 the ball was going to Sean. That should tell you all you need to know about the kid.

I looked at his film, and I was really impressed on the throw to him down the middle of the field, and his hands are soft and made a nice catch and TD. He also, although thick from the ankles up, has really quick feet.

Not often do you see the #7 PRO and a 4* only have offers from Colorado, Colorado State, MTSU, Kansas, Iowa St, and Oregon St.
Haven’t seen a word on this kid so that’s an interesting name to show up on the list

‘23 guy. Guessing there’s a Bobo connection due to the region. We’ve offered/talked to quite a bit of CO kids due to Bobo being popular among coaches out here
Posted on 5/26/21 at 10:22 am to TheJones
Im pretty sure in AU’s history we’ve only had 1 CO letterman. He was a good one too.

quote:So what's his story? Based on his 247 profile, he only has a scholarship offer from UAB. Did he not go to camps? I know some kids fall through the cracks every recruiting season (this year especially) but with those numbers you would think the recruiting services would have at least graded him

Probably sucks to be the backup behind Armoni Goodwin if you’re looking for attention
His numbers are impressive considering that. He’s got a small frame but he has absolutely maxed it out. Power back. Most of his yards appear to be after contact. Good (not great) speed but has some burst, he gets to his top end quickly.
He’s going to have to work hard to control his weight. He runs good routes and has good hands. Definitely looks like a 3* that should have offers, especially if his character is as high as Corch says
