You guys need to wait until June to make any of these suggestions. That is when they have a ton of in-person visits lined up. How can you not factor in that this is a brand new staff which has been forced into recruiting via "virtual visits" - it's not going to sell Auburn, period. These other coaching staffs have an established product to sell, so the entire "virtual" thing doesn't hit them as hard (or at all for the elite schools that are just turning over talent at this point). If you look at Tennessee and South Carolina's recruiting, it's the same situation that we're in.
The other important thing to consider is that we really aren't "losing" obvious targets that have been pegged so far. Sure, they haven't committed yet - because there's been little to no actual physical contact with the campus or coaches, but they aren't picking other schools either.
Auburn's recruiting will pick up significantly in June.

KN was dropping hints yesterday lol. Said it wasn't Jay Fair, but wouldn't say who. The only other transfer we've been linked to so far is the guy from Vandy.

Unrelated, but KN posted that we did have a flip on NSD they signed all the paperwork and everything, but they showed up on the campus of the school we were trying to flip them from. KN wouldn't say who it was only that they were a sought after RB, but Jhead on the Bunker said it was Keontay Ingram and he decided to stick with USC.TIFWIW

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Tubberville recruit players based on fit not ranking? How did he do at Auburn? I never went into a game with him as HC feeling like we had no chance of winning.
I am more critical of Auburn than anyone is, and will be the first to get angry. But we have a new staff recruiting during COVID with no on campus visits allowed yet in their tenure, think about that. We will get the big dogs on campus, they will see it in person, see the $90 million facility being built and what it offers, and we will land these guys too. Give it time, will be worth it.

It’s an unofficial. He has wanted to visit Auburn for several of the open practices/ A-Day but his track schedule didn’t allow it
Sounds like he’s saving his OVs for the fall. He’s one of the top priorities at RB for this staff

Tony Fair, that was a nice interview. He definitely realizes he has come a long way and has a year to make that next big step to the league possible.
I would agree you have two no nonsense coaches talking to you. One who has a lot of NFL experience. Id say he is a great fit, for us and for him...in a postion of need....now.

He has great size for the position and scheme knowledge for sure. Kid has gone through a lot to get to this point, so I think he understands the value of hard work, which seems this staff really likes. Position of need as well. I’m all for it.
