He’s able to leave campus to recruit because Auburn has had not replaced Bobo yet

Have seen him play a couple times and am not very impressed. I hope the coaches see something I do not but he is bad to take a series off

Do we want Max Johnson? Don’t know much about him. Gotta be better than Finley

Would we get his brother as well?

I would like that.

Is that confirmed or a guess? I would be surprised if we did anything more than kick the tires on him.. he's OK, but nothing great. Now, if we could get his brother.. We would take him in a second.

LSU about to go into next year with 1 QB on the roster LOL.

Meaning if mutual interest is there we look. Not we are wanting him.

Johnson isn’t amazing but he’s an SEC level QB for sure. If Bo left he’d be a good guy to bring in.

Thats true but neither are that good lol. Geriner > Both.

I would keep an eye on Max Johnson to somewhere like Miami where they need immediate help and he has a small connection there through Richt.

Nah, they have 5* Walker Howard coming in.

And their fans will tell you how awesome he is. Just ask em.

Interesting recruiting strategy going on at Florida by Billy Napier. Apparently he's telling commits that he doesn't want them signing early. He apparently hasn't contacted 4* WR Jayden Gibson and their other 4* WR commitment who just decommitted yesterday (Florida fans seem to think that Gibson may be next to decommit) and they just lost their 4* QB commit Nick Evers (who we also offered and recruited) as well.

I wonder if it's too late for us to hit up Gibson, or if they'd even be interested at this point.

This guy really really loves Auburn. I hope he continues to rise in the coaching ranks.

Why would he do this??

He apparently wants to re-evaluate - which is reasonable, but not really ideal. That's a pretty big ask to tell a kid that's been committed this whole time that they're now being re-evaluated.

I don’t understand that strategy from Napier. Everyone gets to recruit those kids and get them in on officials, etc., in January if they don’t sign in December.

Last year, more than 80% of kids signed in December. So Napier is going to be going against every staff in the country on the remaining 20% and some of those guys are blue chippers. Good luck to him

I like the move though. It gives the kids an opportunity to reevaluate their decision and UF isn't tied to a kid for 4 years they won't use.
