Pinkston just dropped another nugget about a guy the staff is trying to flip, Shemar James. Says they’ve been after him hard since Harsin got here and James has taken note of it. He’s gonna try and visit in the future, but nothing set yet. This is one of those, very early but something to keep an eye on down the road situations.

I plugged in 3* OT Eston Harris, 4* WR Darius Clemons, 4* LB Robert Woodyard, and 4* OL Antavious Woody into the class and that’s good enough for 16th
Those are all guys I think we’re well out front for at the moment. That said, aside from Eston Harris, I’m not sure when any of those guys will commit
That’s only 16 guys so there would be work to do still to complete the class but winning battles for Ausberry or Antonio Williams would give Auburn a shot for a pretty good class ranking, all things considered

Auburn is still working on a lot of committed guys
5* DL Mykel Williams (USC)
4* DE Shemar James (UF)
4* ATH Antonio Kite (Bama)
4* LB Robert Woodyard (Bama)
4* LB TJ Dudley (Oregon)
4* OT Riley Wuick (Bama Baseball)
4* CB Laterrance Welch (LSU)
4* OL Antavious Woody (FSU)
4* CB Marquez Dortch (OM)
Most of these guys have been to games too. They’re going to win some of these and I think we’ll start seeing an Auburn staff that’s willing to participate in these battles long after early commitments are made.
This summer was weird and a lot of kids committed early because they didn’t know what would happen in the fall with Covid and recruiting restrictions that had been in place for 16 months

Yeah. I think he’s been trending to Auburn for a few months. I’ve lost count on how many times he has visited since June and several Auburn sites have said now they expect him in the class eventually

Nice. I know he isn't the biggest or fastest guy out there, but I really like the way he plays.
Once he committed to Bama back in the summer I haven't kept up with his recruitment. Just figured he was a lock as they don't have a lot of guys leave once they jump on. I think it would be a huge momentum boost, at least the perception from the outside anyways, to the program on the trail to flip a Bama commit.

KN CB’d 4* OL Antavious Woody to AU
FSU’s guy also posted in an update that he expects both Woody and Eston Harris to commit to Auburn. KN also confirmed that UF does not like their chances on Eston Harris either.

That is great, Harsin is starting to get some much needed recruits. I hope they all can come in January and start lifting weights and have a chance to start next year.

I’d say he isn’t solid given that he decommitted several days ago. KN found out that Auburn will pursue him. Bama looks like the team to beat, though
