5* OT Amarius Mims to announce on October 14th
quote:
One of Auburn's top overall recruiting targets in the 2021 class has set his commitment date.
Five-star Cochran (Ga.) Bleckley County offensive tackle Amarius Mims posted on twitter Thursday he will reveal his college choice Oct. 14.
Mims recently trimmed his list to 12 schools: Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Oregon, South Carolina, Southern. California, Tennessee, Texas A&M. Thursday's commit date edit, however, also included North Carolina and Oklahoma.
The 6-foot-7.5, 315-pounds Mims checks in as the No. 8 prospect overall and the No. 2 offensive tackle in the industry-generated 2021 247Sports composite rankings. For 247Sports, Mims is listed as the No. 13 overall prospect and the No. 3 offensive tackle prospect for the class.
Mims has visited Auburn three known times since last November. During trips to Auburn in February and March, he not only met with the Tigers football staff but attended Auburn home basketball games.
“It feels like home when I’m here,” Mims said. “I feel at home. I’m going to keep coming back.”
For the Tigers, Mims is a priority recruit to new offensive line coach Jack Bicknell.
“It’s been good,” Mims said of their relationship. “He’s a friendly coach and I like him. He tries to get to know you and everything. I mean, that’s the key thing, trying to get to know your position coach.”
Here is his 247Sports evaluation:
"Possesses an elite combination of size and length for an offensive tackle. Has rare length by way of long arms and big hands along with a sturdy build with room to add some muscle to his frame.
On the hoof, looks as good as you could hope for at this stage for an offensive tackle prospect. Already is over 300 pounds without much bad weight. Shows his athletic ability while playing both ways at offensive tackle and defensive end. Moves well at the second level, using quick feet and his length to get his hands on linebackers.
Shows good flexibility and bends at the knees. Has some pop in his hands and easily plants opposing defensive linemen on contact.
Will need to continue getting stronger and refining his pass set technique. Looks to have a very high upside early on and should develop into a top national prospect. Has the ultimate upside of developing into a multi-year starter at the Power 5 level and eventual high NFL Draft pick."

McKinstry I still think is AU leader, Clemson, then bama. I'll try to find out what I can on the ground around the area. Last I heard was AU out front with Clemson doing the hard sell on talent in front of him on the DL.

Hopefully Bruce (hallowed be thy name) is going to help recruit him. Make it a Bruce, T Will, and crime dog tag team. Gus can tag along if he wants.

Please refer to him as St. Bruce Pearl.

Bruce is Jewish so he would have to be Rabbi Bruce, High Priest, or Prophet Bruce Pearl. However I do believe he is a messianic Jew as far as religion is concerned.

When I receive my stimulus check, which recruit do I need to send it to?
Posted on 3/26/20 at 9:33 am to jvilletiger25
Aubie board must pool the stimulus money and dump it into the laps of each and every OT we’re recruiting

That, or use it on therapy to understand what I saw while watching Tiger King.

So we didn't even make the top 5 for Micah Morris?

Fong just pegged him to UGA. It’s just whatever. They’re gonna get them all but they don’t know yet that the world is ending anyways.

No way UGA gets all the 5 stars without $$$&. They havent won amything to justify the last 3 yrs of recruiting. I dont wanna hear that evyone does it. Kirby learned to cheating process from Saban and the NCAA turns a blind eye. It’s blatantly obvious
