Hard to say, but many NFL teams out there are desperate for a good QB prospect. With a strong finish, I can easily see him going in the first round. Not sure next year will be any better for him given most of our O line will have to be replaced.

I really worry about our QB depth next year. Gatewood won't be ready and if MW gets hurt our season might look like FSU's this year.

Who's our 3rd string QB? Devin Adams? Geeze i didn't realize it was so bad. So if Stidham goes Pro we could be screwed.

Wonder if any grad transfers will be available?

I think two of Michigan's QBs are leaving to become grad transfers. I'm sure that's happening all over the country so there should be several available if we
go that route.

Nice. So Michigan can bring their dumpster fire over to Auburn. Sweet!

How good is Emory Jones? We seem to have a legit shot with him.

Meyer wants him and he has a damn good eye for college quarterbacks like muschamp has an eye for corners.

Aren’t Michigan’s QBs terrible this year?

Yea they may be. Im not saying we want them. Just that there seems to be several QBs around the country that could become grad transfers.

Supposedly some think he would be a day 2 pick

Yes. All statue-esque white dudes with accuracy issues, especially O'Korn who can't hit the broad side of a barn.

Tigerpaw, it looks like Jimbo is gone by the way FSU recruits are decommitting, any chance we could look at any of those players for OT or CB especially?

The only guy I see on their list that I remember us being somewhat linked with at those positions is Christian Armstrong from Warner Robins. He does look like he visited AU last weekend and had a few times before committing to FSU so who knows..

Yep. Statue with a big arm and questionable accuracy.

there will certainly be 1-2 good options as grad transfers. Almost always seems to be that way the past few years.

He's a good player. Personally I like Gatewood more than Jones but I have also been a Gatewood apologist for a few years now

They are similar prospects honestly. Jones is probably a more advanced passer at this point just due to not having split reps with other QBs or move around to other positions. I think Gatewood is the better athlete with the higher ceiling.

Getting both would be huge for QB stability down the road tho. Chances are good one of those 2 dudes is gonna end up a stud so sure as hell wouldn't hurt to have them both on board. I still think Jones ends up at Alabama but seems like we have made a really strong late push

Randy kinda already answered this but 4* OT Christian Armstrong would be the best shot. Personally I like all three of Wonnum, Carvin & Gouraige more than Armstrong so kinda hoping we don't get the flip but instead land one of those guys

It's not gonna happen probably but I would love to see AU become a player for 4* CB Houston Griffith who just decommitted. Dude is one of the best cover corners in this class.

AU was after thee other FSU commits earlier in the summer tho not sure if any would have a spot now. But keep an eye on 3* LB Amari Gainer, 3* LB Rosendo Louis and 3* DE Patrick Joyner. I don't think any of them would be ahead of our current top targets but could be guys that end up visiting or becoming backup options

So I completely missed this the other day. Asa Martin has shut down his recruitment & told Bama he's not officially visiting & basically ending the process. Says he's 100% locked in with AU & will sign this December. Didn't want Bama wasting time chasing him when they could get another guy

Also Coynis Miller reaffirmed his commitment on Twitter not long after Martin's update. Seems like these last 3 weeks have really solidified things for any of our guys that we might have been worried about down the road

Winning does amazing things

Boy Id really love to have Gouriage, really, really.

Say Tega takes left tackle, who do we have at backup and who will be right tackle:

Broadarius Hamm, Prince Sammons, Calvin Ashley, Troxell. They all have their issues. Gouriage signs, he may not start but he definitely could get some playing time early.
