But thank you so much for all your hard work on this. Especially for those of us who really do not have the time, or desire, to follow things as closely as you have. Some of us read this thread daily and rarely reply..... Great work and thanks again

As someone who works for the soulless corporate America, that Stanford education is priceless. Probably one of the 4-5 degrees that puts you straight to the top.

Yep. I'd pick Stanford over Auburn too about 90% of the time. It really depends on the degree he's after.

"It was just really the opportunity on and off the field that Stanford presented," Johnson told AL.com. "Like they say, I feel like this is a 40-year decision and not a four-year decision. I feel like I can contribute early on the field, help the program win and set myself up for life."

Hate we missed but this kid is leaps and bounds ahead of the curve with forward thinking like this. Best of luck RJ

The way we finished the season, killed any momentum we had after the Arky game. I dont think this class will effect the outcome next year. Gus is getting fired. He just cant coach. He had plenty of good recruiting classes so far and the best he could do is 8-5. Beat UGA once, Bama once and LSU twice. He couldnt even beat a UGA team that was a dumpster fire in a game where the D only gave up 6 points.

I seem to remember a 12-2 and an SEC championship. Must have been a dream.

If we do not improve, then Gus will be gone. That fact HURT recruiting, folks want stability.

I have said this a few times, but lines are the critical path in recruiting. Every other position is supporting roles. If we have to take 2-3 stars guys on the DL, then this class is a grade C at best. Recruiting on par with Arkansas and MSU will yield similar results on the field.

That game was a killer for a number of reasons. A 9-4 with wins over LSU and UGA is so much better than 8-5 with losses to UGA and BAMA. It kept Gus's seat hot which is being used against us on the trail and turned what should have been a solid season considering our preseason hopes into a disappointing one. That game still pisses me off

That's why Alabama has dominated for so long. It feels like we quit after Stidham committed, and its been a cluster since Lindsey arrived a few weeks ago. Definitely has a feel of Gus putting on band aids rather than building for future years.

We have had great classes on DL last few years, and with Coe/Newkirk and the kid who had cancer, added to what we have, we gonna be alright.

I know some are just dying to jump though, so go for it!!

We don't have a lot of margin for error with our player development though

Why would anybody be melting right now? It's been pretty obvious we weren't closing with much this year. Still a good not great class.

It's a tough one. Glad he's not going to Bammer or another SEC school, but we've been talking to him since his junior year. Is the melt starting today?
