I'll take that bet, Sean White will not win 8 or more games as the starter this season

Bet Win/Start Definitions
-Sean White must be named QB starter for the game
-Sean White must play >75% of QB snaps in the win
-Sean White must be QB all 4 quarters except due to blowouts (aka Cam Newton 1 half vs UTc)

Basically JF3/anyone else can be a "Wildcat" or special formation/play QB, but they cannot be having true QB Series constantly or during critical elements of the game

I will agree with that provided that blowouts also override the 75% QB snaps clause. And an injury to SW after he is named starter voids the bet (aka he wins 7 games to start the year and gets hurt prior to being eligible for an 8th win).

Fair enough. Updated with some tweaking

Bet Win/Start Definitions

-Sean White must be named starter to begin season
-Sean White must be named QB starter for a game he gets W
-**Sean White must play >75% of QB snaps in the win
-**Sean White must be QB all 4 quarters
-Sean White getting injured voids bet
-Sean White can't be named starter by default (injuries to JF3 or I guess J"lulz"J if relevant)

**Clear victories/blowouts void playing requirements as long as SW played enough snaps to get us to secure the W

If we had a decent pass defense in 2013, Mason's last touchdown run would have gone down as one of the iconic moments in Auburn's history.

I hate you for reminding me of this.

This class was successful because of the long relationships our staff had with the recruits. Hopefully we can see some more development

Staff continuity is huge... and is the main reason we were successful recruiting on the DL and on offense... and the reason we struggled at LB and to a certain extent OL.

But Gus won't make it if we don't start developing better... I don't know if it's a S&C thing, the players were signing, or a staff issue (or some combo). Its more than QB.

It was one of the rare times that I got fooled. I swear, I though the game was over when Mason scored. I just figured that would be the story book ending. We were fricking high fiving every person in the end zone at the Rose Bowl only to be let down 5 mins later.

yeah. i was there too...and didnt realize it until with 13 seconds that Mason had scored too early. Now i had wished he had fallen down at the 2 yard line. ((...

Nice let down after a very good recruiting day yesterday. lol.

I don't think you can say either way. If he is throwing to Sammie, CJ, Louis and a medicated Duke he would have put up much bigger numbers.

How about putting this in a separate thread so we can all go on record one way or the other?

ETA: Also, what's up with that last provision? Are you saying that if someone other than SW wins the #1 job in August, but then gets hurt prior to or during the first game and SW takes over, if he tears it up and we go 12-0 you still don't lose the bet?

The rest of our team can't carry him to 9 wins unless something with our D and O clicks. This team won't carry him to 9+ like Alabama carried McElroy to 14

Why does the team have to carry him? You're treating him as a liability when he's an asset. He makes the team better not worse.

The defense is the liability that would prevent White from winning 9 or more games.

I want to see him this spring... White's performance against Memphis was really a downer. I know we read too much into one game performances, but Jesus he was awful.
