I was even though we were a 'hat on the table' and he was interested in us for Muschamp. Tre Williams and Holland are our only big wins in recent years on a high ranked LBs.

Just annoying when Bama takes the top two (Davis is a lock and Wilson will likely end up there over UF) and then we get our asses beat by Clemson, Tennessee, etc. We are close to having a good defense but LB recruiting as a unit with our late 4* bumps has been disappointing. It's my favorite position on the field and we haven't had an elite player there in years.

No bullshite, do we have a shot with Rashan Gary!?

I'm hearing about Michigan, LSU, and Ole Miss but not much about Auburn so are we still a legit contender for his signature? Also, LT was his primary recruiter.

Do not let me down easy. Yes or No

That's fine. Even better that he is leaving the SEC and we won't have to worry about him..

Y'all laugh but In a day or two we are going to receive another update about what his mother has to say about life.

Every year this board loves to pretend like we have a shot at a top DT, and every year they go elsewhere. Been the same pattern since Eddie Goldman, why even pretend anymore?

Doesn't matter if we get them or not. Until we get another DLine coach, they are all going to end up playing like 2 and 3 star guys anyways.

According to Gary, Steele has been recruiting him since his sophomore year. He, and his family, have a great relationship with him. Steel at Auburn sounds like a big plus. Said that his mother likes the atmosphere at Auburn and felt very comfortable there. He has one more official visit at USC then they will set down and talk about it. Also said that he's not worried about early playing time, he believes he can earn it no matter where he is at.

Here's the link, I think it will work. If not, I don't believe I took too many liberties with my synopsis.

ugh...don't get me started on the Goldman debacle of NSD. If that damn DT from Prattville just sends in his damn LOI before Goldman like he was supposed to we end up with BOTH of those bastards....instead we end up w/ our flaccid dicks in our hands.

Antwuan Jackson isn't a top DT?

Antwuan Jackson wasn't our #1 or #2 on the board with Rashan Gary & Derrick Brown. Jackson is a good pickup but not top 2-3 DT

2016- Rashan Gary
2015- Trent Thompson
2014- Davon Godchaeux (~top 3DT bad DT yr)
2013- We got Monty, Maybe Kenny Bigelow?
2012- Eddie Goldman

He is number 8 at his position. That is pretty damn close to the top if he isn't already there.

Every year, there is a 5* DT type guy that AU fans get excited about only to strike out on

I agree Jackson is a top DT, just that Brannigan's argument still holds
