FWIW per JLee when Gus had his in home w/ Redwine yesterday he says Gus and T-Rob told him we have a spot for him because we were taking 3 CBs. He told Louisville last night he was flipping and tried to call T-Rob to cement the flip. T-Rob never answered his call. He finally got in touch with T-Rob this morning and we said we did not have a spot for him.
Recruiting is such a business now.

Also, not believing the CeCe rumors. We heard the same thing with Gibson. And we're recruiting him
I understand the hesitancy w/ Gibson...but I'll shoot ya straight here, if Ole Miss is in on someone big, I can tell you right now there is an offer on the table for some cash. I say more power to 'em, but its the truth. They do it as well as anyone.

This place sucks worse everyday.

I don't believe that. Freezus is just a damn good recruiter he could sell ice to eskimos. I do believe though when the wins don't start matching their recruiting success then kids will get the idea that Ole Miss is still Ole Miss

Nobody is that good of a recruiter.

Look, kids definitely get paid and some impermissible benefits. The real question is does Ole Miss not just beat offers but decisively so. If you heard some of the things I've heard from players, you'd realize the game.
I know a current Ole Miss player who would get between 500-1000$ just to show up and help recruit on UOV. He was a lower rated prospect too.
Recruiting is a dirty fricking game. It is how long you can play chicken by staying in the game without getting caught. If you think shady things don't happen you are full on crazy.

He wasn't recruiting like Freeze currently is back when he was at Michigan State, and that would be your comparable to Freeze's current situation.

Saban has the resume to back it up.
Saban wasn't that good at MSU or LSU until his last few seasons before leaving for Miami

With all the mud slung his way you want to bring him up?
He basicaly won with LA talent which Les Miles has shown possible and is now cashing in his 3 NCs in past few years and 10+ wins.

There are a reason why some kids have handlers that get money and all that, because there is money to be had.
I'm not saying Ole Miss is doing anything extraordinary, just that they wanted to be in the game and they did what it takes as a school that doesn't have established success.
If anything, I applaud them for having the cojones to throw their hat in.

Come on, guys. We pay just a well as Bama, Ole Miss, etc. if you don't, you end up like Arkansas. Hell, Bama paid 200k for a lineman that wasn't worth a shite. Cam was a damn steal. The NCAA should have been called... for us getting out so cheap.

none of them have said we don't do similar things.

I know Tony Barbee paid players. If that dumpster fire coach paid for what we put out on the court, we definitely do it in football

Also, I wouldn't mind replacing Garner with Jimmy Brumbaugh in a couple years. I feel like he has done well both recruiting and coaching at Uk

I have no problem paying for players. I have more of an issue paying for bad coaches.
