Gene, I hope you know I was kidding about the teenage girl comment.

I know you're an older woman than that.

Think what you want WDE24 but he did. This ain't no "I heard from my cousin's roomates sisters uncle's best friend from kindergarten"

I'm not condemning anyone here just saying it is naive to think impermissible benefits don't happen.

Sorry to get a little off the recruiting track but do you think head coaches are aware of paying players? I honestly think if your program is Div 1 and more than 3 wins, then someone is paying players. But I also think the head coaches try to insulate themselves from the payments.

Using Bama as an example (but I think this happens with any established programs). I think Saban established a system for paying recruits and players. Once that system was in place, he then backs away from it and really doesn't know the details.

I also tell my friends that claim their University doesn't cheat, but Auburn does to look at the coaches salary and divide that by the scholarship limit of 85. If someone is willing to pay a state employee that amount of money to win, someone is willing to pay to get the best players.
UA $6.95M / 85 = $81,764 per player per year
LSU $4.3M / 85 = $50,588 per player per year
AU $3.85M / 85 = $45,294 per player per year
UGA $3.2M / 85 = $37,647 per player per year

What he's trying to say is that he thinks you're full of shite, regardless of whether or not Barbee payed players or not.

i never believed that most programs paid kids till my wife saw it first hand on the only recruit i`ve ever been around, let`s just say a substantial amount of money showed up at a bank at which she worked wrapped in rubber bands which she counted to a parents/gaurdians account which she knows he did not possess before signing day. That being said i don`t think it`s usually the coaches but motivated boosters.

STFU, everybody pays and everyone knows that what are you figs arguing about.

Someone tell me what the deal is with Key. Nobody on here really talks about him much or includes him in their projections but all of our insiders do. What's the scoop?

Who projects Key? I feel like the %s I see are low.

Key has been all over the place. Apparently he's really impressionable so us having him here this weekend (last visit before NSD) could be a really good thing for us

Then riddle me this GenesChin:

Why was Kenny Gabriel driving a beat up 1990s Lincoln?
Why was Frankie driving a 1990s Oldsmobile?
Why were Willy Kouassi and Bernard Morena along with Ced McAfee allowed to leave without repercussion?
Why was Kouassi's AAU coach upset with Barbee if he was paying players?
Why was Varez Ward looking for supplemental income by throwing games?
Why has nobody within the actual program stepped up and said something since the program has been purged?
When Varez went down why didn't the trainer Jarrod speak up and say something to save his job? What about the strength and conditioning coach?

The money couldn't have been that good because Arnett Moultrie chose Mississippi State over Auburn despite the fact that he played under Barbee at UTEP.

WTH did I do to get a STFU. I was just getting Gene's back. You really need to CTFO right now.

The scoop is he is very impressionable. I don't even think Key knows the inside scoop on himself. He is OVing this weekend and we will know real fast how that went because he is committing Monday.
