Jlee also says we may have more of a shot with Terry Godwin than he thought. Godwin is visiting with both his parents the 16th and momma and daddy Godwin have AU > UGA

Let him show his sack for every sack he records on defense?

Simple. Just look back and think back to our 2006 and 2007 defenses.

Thing is I have only recently really followed recruiting so I couldn't tell you what our d classes looked like on paper back then. And I certainly don't know what his classes at UT and UF looked like.

We've actually recruited a little better on D on paper since Tubs left but had nowhere near the production, including the 2 years with Boom.

That is kind of what I assumed.

I'm not advocating against him. I'm just saying be prepared for the SECR shite storm if he transfers here

Tubs classes back then from a ranking standpoint were nothing special. He was able to consistently find undervalued players & turn them into high draft picks. He was able to steal some highly rated recruits every now& then but we as a program are recruiting guys Tubs wouldn't dream of getting. That aside recruiting services have expanded a lot since then. I only followed rivals & honestly rivals is good for seeing who is visiting what schools. I don't get much out of it. They do have Allie Davidson who I try to see what she has to say. I use to be into recruiting 24/7 but with work I simply don't have the time. That's my .02.

Tubs could scout, so could those that worked for him. He knew what to look for in a prospect. Plus Tubs loved speed. That is something we have been missing since he left. Team speed on D is non existent. Frost and Cass seem so damn slow compared to what we used to have at lber

And this would be different than the recent past off seasons, how?

Recruiting notes from 247:

-Burt recruitment is complicated. Sounds like Mom wants Texas and Burt and Dad want Auburn (His Dad lives in Atlanta). Still expect him to end up at Auburn
-We plan on taking 2 more WRs
-will know more about chances with Cece Jefferson after his visit but there's optimism that he'll like it. His hometown is a small country town similar to Auburn.
-Nebraska DE Avery Moss has interest in AU. Coaches haven't made a decision on how hard they will go after him if at all.
-Muschamp thinks he can land Arden Key

Numbers by position:
-Done at QB and RB.
-Almost finished with OL. Hoping for a "superhero" Tackle
-want to sign 5-6 DL
-Holland is the only other LB
-1 or 2 more CBs

We would absolutely take all 3 no matter what the numbers look like.

We have a very good shot at Key. I'm pretty optimistic with Cowart but we'll see. CeCe is the definite long shot of the group. If we get Cowart, we improve our chances. This one is a big wait and see how he likes everything.
