jr hooked me up with a ticket last years UGA game and I met him and his family. Real good people. He was working to help me with an A&M ticket but I can't make it to a game this year due to a business trip thrown on me.

He's not Chizik without Cam/Gus bad or anything but without Dak he's as average as it gets.
"Average" doesn't win 7+ games at MSU for what will soon be 5 years in a row (3 of those being 8+ win seasons). Its not like the SEC West was "down" during that time frame either. I don't think he's elite or anything, but to argue that he isn't a good coach is foolish considering what he has done at a bottom-feeder school. From 2000 to 2008 Sherrill and Croom posted a combined 7 seasons in which MSU won 4 or fewer games. 6 of those 7 seasons were 3 win or fewer seasons. To take that pile of shite and mold a winning team is highly impressive, period.

However, Mullen has been the definition of mediocre for five years and I'm not silly enough to let three good weeks overshadow that. I doubt any ADs at major programs are either.
I think you forget that he coaches at MSU. What he has done is almost as impressive as it gets if he can keep it going this year.

16-24 in the SEC going into this season with zero wins against a top 20 team in 5 years. ZERO in five years.

Can you boys just start a Mullen thread or something and keep the recruiting news here?

This thread has devolved into anything but recruiting.

Don't worry, not trying to take your spot as Rocky's BFF or anything, sheesh. And here I am telling people I know to buy your baits...

"I just love coming to Auburn...It is one of my favorite places."
"Auburn can never disappoint me...I wasn't shocked by the score because I knew in the end they were going to win. They battled it out. I loved the atmosphere. The fans were so loud."
"The coaches make me feel like I am at home...I talk to them every time I go over there. They make me feel like I'm already part of the team. I have a really good relationship with them, and I just love the Auburn fan base."
"I love the rotation Coach Garner uses...I could see myself playing college ball there. He is a great man on and off the field. He does his job really well and gets it done."
"Both of the schools (AU & UGA) are great schools...When the time comes to make the decision, I'll just have to go with what I feel is best."

Cox had a great time and was excited to make friends since he will enroll early. Hung out with Jalen Harris and Sean White mostly. Loved the game atmosphere.

FWIW Gus made an appearance at Hoover's game against Trussville in Trussville on Friday. Visiting his former QB. Or, you know, to send a little message to Williams and Moon

I'm almost afraid to ask, but...
What's our current status with TT and DP?

For some reason, I thought he committed a long time ago.

He was a lock a long time ago but never publically committed.

He said a big part of his decision came down to his mom really liking how Jimbo Fisher has defended Winston.

Fisher seems to not care about Winston IMO, or else he'd give the kid some stern direction.
