Howard has been all bama his whole life. We not anyone else ever had a shot.

I agree. I like the attitude the current staff has taken toward recruiting in that they're identifying guys who are genuinely interested in Auburn even though they may be "undecided" about their final choice. I don't expect them to win every battle but I do expect them to choose their fights a little more wisely than the previous staff did
From the little I've read throughout the season, Gus has really built up the Iron Bowl as the ultimate recruiting weekend. I think he's ready to sell out for the upset win over Bama. I don't know if he saw 9/10-1 as an option headed into the game but I believe beating Bama was always in his plan.
Gus realizes we have to start beating Bama on and off the field but so far we haven't been able to close the deal recruiting-wise with guys like Evans, Clark, and SDH. There's plenty of time for a turn around but there may be a few more disappointments along the way

Why can't we just admit when they beat us out for a recruit? Are we that insecure about our recruiting?
Don't be jelly because you don't know the story behind it.

Well, it is also naive to believe everything is on the up and up with every recruit. In the case of Yeldon, I wish I could prove it, but many folks believe he was provided extra benefits and the cars, home improvements, etc. would seem to add credibility to those claims. However, I do not think we want folks looking into his recruitment so keep it down home, Cuz.

All I know is if Bama is paying recruits then so are we.

Pretty much it does, and we most likely are. But that doesn't really matter in this thread.

Can we take the ITAT talk to a separate thread? It'd been even better if it stayed over on ITAT.

We are already "inside the Auburn thread"!

Seriously?
This is the SEC. EVERY SCHOOL is paying players in some form or fashion. The only question is are the schools dumb enough to be dishing out the amount of cash to get them in trouble.
While I think the degree to which Auburn provides benefits is greatly exaggerated, we're paying folks just like everybody else, even if it is just money handshakes.

I never said nor implied we weren't. We probably are. I was just saying by definition it is a logical falicy that because A does something then B do it to. Replying on my part in the first place was a mistake because this forum is not a logic class therefore there was no need for my post.

Miami fans dont seem to think that Stuckey is going to qualify...

Not really high on Stuckey anyway. Is he still committed to Da U?

quote:Yes but I could see him not fitting in their class. They just picked up their 5th DT and 3rd 4* for their class yesterday. Garner loves Stuckey, especially as a pass rusher.
