I don't think he's committing anywhere until December

Something good is coming. Rhett and Rodney are tweeting early today.

Not a clue. Every time Rodney starts tweeting, a commitment isn't far behind.

My guess would be Blair, the JUCO OT and Marshall's former teammate.

Besides Blair we offered that George Brown Jr. OT from GA yesterday. He is like 6'7 290 going into his Senior year in HS

Dontavius Blair said he's this close to committing, and that we're his leader. He's got a couple more officials (TN and FSU) but said it's going to be tough for another program to catch up.

Could be the reason behind Lashlee's text.

Maybe not so incidental about 6'6" 253 '15 OT George Brown's recruitment:

His father, who came with him on his visit, grew up a little in Opelika and still has family there. And his brother, Aaron, a 2006 4* who signed with VT over Auburn and a few others, told George if he had it to do over he'd sign with Auburn.

FAP, and here's the best part...

Blair is originally from Anniston High School (Ala.) and is second cousins with Rivals100 running back Racean Thomas. The two speak often.

From B Matthews
quote:

JUCO offensive tackle Dontavius Blair, a former teammate of quarterback Nick Marshall at Garden City, said the Auburn players were talking about Marshall all weekend
.

If we take what Gene has been saying on here I'm guessing the players were telling Blair how self centered Marshall is.

Until you read the rest of Blairs comment.
quote:

Blair believes Marshall will be the starter and be able to turn Auburn around quickly.

Why would he saythis if what the players told him wasn't positive? Not saying what Gene shared here is false, but it doesn't jive with other positive reports I have read and not just about his arm. Don't get your panyies in a wad Gene I am just hopeful what you shared isn't true, and if it is I hope it changes.

BTW, I get that Blair is NM's boy and wouldn't expect anything less but positive comments.
