Rashaan Evans is the best LB there in his opinion

Want him, but not sure what to think about his recruitment. I felt good about him early, but oh well. We shall see.

It'll be a damned shame if we miss on Rashaan Evans with him being in close proximity. Losing out on two linebackers, both he and Reuben Foster, with them right there would be just pitiful.

I saw Rashaan at Waffle House this weekend. He definitely needs to spend some time in a weightroom but he was huge height wise.

I really hope we get him. I just can't believe we may strike out on him

Yes he needs to bulk up but he could definitely play the Will LB if he adds 15-20 pounds. I saw the note on him getting a pick 6 that was called back on a bad call. If we can get Evans we would arguably have the best coverage LB class in the nation.

Who is out main competition for Evans? Florida State? Georgia?

When I was 18 I wanted the hell outa my hometown. Can't really fault the kid if he wants to get away.....

If you go by Evans' supposed top 5, which experts are apparently not given they are still crystal balling Auburn at 80%, it's UGA

Evans has said his latest top 5 is likely to change, so unless he keeps putting us at the bottom or drops us out of it, I still think we've got the best chance of anyone.

He just said he'll know a lot more about his options after he goes on visits this month. He's planning on visiting uga and UCLA this month and said he'll probably visit FSU again too.

Agree, but he already packs a nice punch for a 215lb kid. I feel pretty good landing him.

Exactly what I have stated in the past. I want him, but I can understand him wanting to go elsewhere.

I'm actually shocked that less kids don't leave their close proximities. I get a kid from Atlanta going to UGA since it is still a good ride and I get wanting to support your in-state schools but I would get out of my hometown to go to a big college.

The Auburn/Opelika area is such a bubble anyway. It can't be a recruiting advantage..

With all the So Cal babes and the beaches I would be in UCLA in a heart beat...I would just tell my mom to buy the College Football game package.

Exactly. Our biggest competition for Evans is his desire to leave the area.

I was basing my confidence more in what I was reading not that he lives in Auburn. I agree with what you said.

Am I the only one who isn't high on Evans? I just don't see him as a must get.

I know he is doing well in this competition, but that doesn't mean much when the pads are on.

He did pretty good with pads on as well. You are certainly welcome to your own opinion however.
