Am I the only one who isn't high on Evans? I just don't see him as a must get.

I know he is doing well in this competition, but that doesn't mean much when the pads are on.
Actually since he has played with his hand on the ground his whole career as a DE, to get accolaids at that camp as "best linebacker I have seen here" is

AUC did an article on 4* CB John Bonney from Texas at The Opening. My impression from reading it is while people take Auburn lightly, he doesn't...Not that he has us as a favorite either. He wants to commit somewhere before his Senior year and would like to visit Auburn again but only if his whole family will come. Said his Auburn visit in March was one of his top visits.

makes you wonder why the Auburn high coaches have him playing end... in high school, I'd much rather have a difference maker at LB than at End.

You can always run away from a end and/or double team him... but an amazing lineback in high school affects the other 10 positions on defense.

Sometimes you get stupid coaches that get blinded by size. I was the biggest kid on our team my freshman year and faster than all of our receivers running a 4.8 40. I wasn't big enough to play college ball on the line at 250 but I was the starting left tackle and defensive tackle. I asked to be moved to tight end or fullback and they would never let me move on offense and so went my football years.

All things being equal I would rather have a DE than LB. In a lot of ways a LB is only as good as the DEs and DTs keeping the OLs off him.

Look gents. We get Evans and we will have the best of both worlds with the D Line we have coming in this year...

in a college 4-3 scheme, yeah... i'd take a difference maker at DE over a LB... in high school?... no way.

I'm not saying AHS is really doing anything wrong with Evans, and they did have a pretty good middle linebacker last year... He may play 2013 at backer.

AHA runs a 4-2-5 on D. They had Foster to basically play the run at mike, the will covered passes. They played Evans at DE because that was his best position and that is where they needed him.

Dominic Walker has put on 13-18 lbs according to which recruiting profile you follow.
