Guy on jox called in and said Kiffen was at Roc's father's business.. Sent in a picture to prove it, seems bama is putting on the full court press since they lost out on Fournette.

The kid looked well polished against the best in the nation with little time to prepare. It sounds to me as if you're just being overly impartial at the expense of being obtuse
i don't disagree, but plenty of dudes have gone to the elite 11 and never done anything in college... and one all star week playing 7v7 and no blitzing defenses isn't enough for some guys to come off their original evaluation.
and again, he's still a top 30 QB on scout, who doesn't split their QBs up into two groups.

I wonder if he purchased anything really expensive?

this seems to be Bama's MO lately... targetting the dads.

i don't blame scout of sticking by their own guy instincts on a kid and not necessarily buying all the hype around camps and one all-star game.
Have you seen his stats though? He throw almost 30 TDs and I think less than 5 INTs. He was praised at the all star game, praised at all the camps he went to and had a very very solid year.
I mean, what else can the kid do?

Not to mention he looks like a stud against equal talent. Can throw it 70 yds; trains like Manning. I was very meh when we got him, but he might be our best QB recruit in years, minus Cam.

Their original evaluation stemmed off him being a little over 6'. While they didn't blitz during the UA game, he had pressure on him and had to escape/extend the play many times. When former pro coaches are giving you praise over the course of a year, it's time to reexamine your original thought process.
Rankings should be for the college level, point blank.

Lead the Mud Dogs to victory in the Bourbon Bowl.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think we need anymore this year. Save the spot and go after a better prospect next year.
We'll have 7 guys that are Jr's or younger next year, as well as the three we have coming in in this class, and Jason Smith already set for 2015.

no doubt... and white will always have physical limitations compared to the other top flight QBs in college.
if he were two inches taller, this wouldn't be a discussion... his stats his senior year of HS are similar to those of Allen who's committed to A&M... the difference is he's 6-4.
I just don't get why people are so upset over a top 30 QB.

The thing I always think is ridiculous is they put an emphasis on height even though 6'2 is a solid NFL height. Everyone said Sean White had a better ball and more armstrength than Kyle Allen though

I seem to remember Kwon having a lot of people push him away from AU...

Even if they have been posted here I will do a quick summary tonight of who coaches see today and expect to see tomorrow. I'm to scatterbrained to do it right now.

Who's pushing Evans away from AU?

Downgrading a QB over a couple of inches of height is just lazy. 6'2" is actually the dead median height for NFL QB's with over 1,000 passes. Tony Romo and Aaron Rodgers are 6'2" (and a slew of others).

If this makes other teams ignore him, I'm fine with that.

Because there is really no logical basis to have him ranked that low at this point. I'm not upset, I'm just stating how awful I think Scout is and arguing that point with Sean White as evidence. One fluke MVP award, sure. But repeated MVP honors among the best of the best? Trends be damned.

I was throwing that out there because I think the situations between Kwon and Evans are completely different. It seems Evans' folks want him to make the best choice, not an emotional one. It seemed as if Kwon's family had a "anywhere but Auburn" attitude...I could be wrong though.
