I think it is the biggest Iron Bowl of all time.

Considering the circumstances

Not really any way it's going to surpass 1989 as the biggest Iron Bowl, given the circumstances that is kinda hard to beat.

Definitely up there with 93 though.

Anyway, personally I see us losing around 31-21 if Marshall plays like he has most of the season from a passing perspective.

If Marshall somehow has the game of his life passing I can see us winning somewhere like 34-31.

We will have to be balanced to have a chance to win.

Trailing 28-24, AU drives the length of the field late in the fourth, but is stopped short with two minutes to go, turning it over on downs at the Bama 20. Fortunately AU still has all three timeouts left.

Needing a first down to ice it, Bama has to run actual plays rather than taking a knee. On 3rd and short with 10 seconds remaining and AU still with one timeout, Saban decides to try to avoid a punt and instructs his OC to call a handoff to Yeldon. AJ botches the exchange, the ball bounces off Yeldon's chest in the backfield...into the waiting arms of AU's #5, who naturally is well away from the play - but also every other white jersey. Dazed, he stumbles into the endzone untouched as time expires.

AU 30-28.

Immediately, every AU Rantard's avatar is switched to this image:

It's great having this bye week. Get guys healthy and rested.

How much will we see JJ in the IB?
What is Bama's rush D like? We were successful against UGA and they were #1 rush d in the SEC, correct?

As loud as JHS was for DSOR, I have to believe it will be even louder for the IB.

Special teams will be huge. I feel like they tried too hard on punt and kick returns against UGA, most likely bc of all the hype from the TDs scored against TN. Hopefully the returns against Bama will be better.

I'd love to see our D line get early pressure and penetration and get McCarron rattled.

We almost had Bama in 2009 and I think this AU team is better.

Marshall will have to make throws against their secondary for us to have a chance, and that's just not going to happen.

I will try to be succinct.

The handling of JJ has been a real puzzle to me, but after the Georgia game..... I've got to make a childish suggestion.

After the Western Carolina game all we've seen of JJ is to put him in for 1 to 3 plays for the most part (one is always a pass). Rotate him in and out the same way we do running backs, wide receivers, offense and defense. No pep talk from the coaches, warming up on the sidelines, nothing. The young man can step onto the field, stone cold, and throw a 15 to 20 yard dart to a wide receiver quicker than I can scratch my arse and then rotate off the field standing with the rest of the team like nothing ever happened. I've never seen a second string quarterback handled this way, but I've never seen a head coach like Gus.

When Gus came in 2009 he took a quarterback with a bad shoulder who struggled to complete a pass over 20 yards, was so slow he rushed for a -100 yards and broke two standing quarterback records, passing yards and passing touchdowns for a season. He took a wide receiver who, the previous season had three passes for 17 yards, and under Gus the next year, almost 1000. My point is this, Gus has had about the same amount of time to work with JJ as he did with Chris Todd and Darvin Adams.

The coaches have said for most of the season that they have just as much faith in JJ running the offense as they do Nick. They are either "gas lighting" us or telling the truth. We may have two completely different offenses, one we have seen and one we haven't, both being rotated during the game at will. I wouldn't put it past Gus.

I love science fiction

Auburn 37 Gumps 24..... damn that would be sweet

I know what I'm about to say is probably crazy to the rest of the world,

but it got put in my heart, and I'm believing it.

God willing....

35-0 AU shutouts Bama in miracle.

Criticize if you want, but I can't get that score out of my head, so I'm riding it.

We couldn't do it with a once in a generation QB like Cam against a worse bama defense

I disagree. I believe this Bama defense has more deficiencies. It hasn't been exposed just yet, but it will.

- Dee Ford was the best player on the field for either side, IMO. The difference-maker. He did miss 10 plays in the 4th quarter with the knee. UGA gained 100 yards and 2 TDs on those 10 plays.

Impressive, I'm afraid bama will have success screening him on 3rd downs during the IB.

My wife and daughter have developed a Gus Crush. And I'm completely fine with that, in fact if I thought it might help...

38-20 Bama, but I'm usually pessimistic.
