If we have another dismal year, all the time in the world may not be enough to pull us out of the hole with the rise of Texas A&M, Ole freaking Miss, and Bama's continued domniance. And that's just in the SECw. Aside from 2010, when was the last time we beat UGA? Spurrier has things going at USCe and even Vandy has the potential to be a legit threat.

I haven't seen anyone say not getting him will be that bad. Sure we all know our LB problem and it's reasonable to believe that he would help that.

My point is that saying we shouldn't take him, or him going somewhere else is a blessing in disguise reeks of bitterness and is one step away from "non committable offer" bullshite.

If he picks someone else, then damn, we lost out, but our class will still be a damn good class. But we lost out on a good player that we would be lucky to have.

Would it be ok if I started a recruting thread cliff notes thread? Id like to know what is going on in recruiting. But I do not have time to wade through 35 pages of crap to see the Barber flipped to Auburn. Any objections?

Parents and families are ridiculous.

Yeah, I hope Foster's mom and daughter being in AU can ultimately sway him to us, but if the kid wants to be somewhere else, parents need to be supportive.

I want Foster. I want Daniel. As a fan, who wouldn't? But in the end, parents and family members should support the KID'S decision in the end. It's ridiculous that a kid can't go where HE wants because of the threat of backlash from his family. Parents and family members won't go through one class, one practice or one game. The kid is the one making a 3-5 year decision. It should ultimately be his.

As much as it would suck, if Foster and Daniel truly want to be somewhere else, so be it.

ETA: I know the nugget you dropped says the analyst "thinks" Daniel likes Ole Miss more, so maybe Daniel really wants to come to Auburn. I was just saying.
