Holding out some hope that momma can talk some sense into Reuben if he chooses Bama tonight.
I think that's our only way of keeping him. If his mom really wants him at Auburn and she can convince him that's his best option.

If Foster goes to Bama, well, we do get one good thing in return:
autiger4lyfe is gone.

Did he not get banned during the Foster meltdown? Don't think I've seen him since

How am I butthurt?
He is a teenager so no his decision to attend Alabama really doesn't effect me. Maybe it hurts your feelings that he is going there.
He just loves the spotlight, recruits should make a decision & stick to it, 80% of recruits handle it the right way by not playing all of these games.

How long to you guys think a guy like Foster who needs attention and gets his feelings hurt at the drop of a hat will last at bama?

At the risk of totally derailing the Official 'Crootin' Thread™, here's what you all need to remember about Bama football post-Saban:
Ray Perkins
Bill Curry
Gene Stallings
Mike DuBose
Dennis Franchione
Mike Price
Mike Shula
THAT list is far more indicative of whom they will hire when Saban slinks away to Burton Lake in a few years, IMHO.

I will go ahead and go on record that I will take Adams over Foster.
I know they are unrelated and we may actually have less of a chance at Adams if we do not get Foster, but that is my preference.
I know we really need a strong MLB. However, we need a dominant DT just as badly. We have missed on the elite MLBs for several years as we have missed on the elite DTs.
And in this case, I personally believe Monty Adams is the superior talent.

Well, saban doesn't let freshmen talk to the media.

You can add me to this list. 100%. Even when he was considered an Auburn lean a few weeks ago, I'd rather have the 5 star DT.
Especially the way Ellis Johnson runs defenses. Name a single USCe LB the past 4 years. Now think of how many DL you can think of.

Let me get this straight
After Dyer, Eric Smith, Felony Four, ect, ect, ect. We have a 5* guy with clear character concerns who's been unstable throughout his entire recruitment process which he managed to cap off by recruiting for our in-state rival (who's been owning us on & off the field) during his official visit with us which may have lead to him being asked to leave by the coaches and subsequently resulted in him spending the remainder of the weekend on said rivals campus . . .
BUT because he's a 5* at a position of need, we should ignore all of this and hope he signs with us anway???

Bama has 10 4* LB's on their roster, half of which have significant playing time the other half average about 6'3 245 lbs. The only positive of RF going to Bama will be watching him cheer from the sidelines.

Da Fuq you talking about?

Did you just make all that up? Foster is a ridiculous talent that's why we want him to sign with us.

If/when Foster picks bama again tonight as expected, look for his family to move to ttown.

i would have put the emphasis on 'may have' unless the goal was to emphasize your conclusion on which was based on uncertain ground.

I want foster to come more because I dont want to see him playing for bama
Just with their recent success with LBs under Saban, it scares me a little to think of foster in that defense

This comes from the Andrew Bone notes that were posted a couple of pages back and I used the qualifiers "maybe" and "possibly"
My point is, Foster completely showed his arse this weekend and yet you guys are still hoping he ends up at Auburn in spite of increasing red flags?
Auburn is in a rebuilding year and already has a bunch of 4* and 5* recruits who are a waste of a scholarship, why add more dead weight to a struggling team?

quote:Who is to say he's "dead weight"? Because he pulls one immature stunt during recruiting he's now all of a sudden dead weight and won't amount to anything on the field anymore? Not buying it.

I don't often agree with you, but this couldn't be said any better.
