He's met with the new Auburn staff 7 times since it's been assembled. More than twice as many times when compared to other schools. I doubt it's over between him and Auburn.

247 just predicted where all the 5 stars are going and they have Foster to AU , Adams to Clemson and Lawson to Tennessee. I don't know about the Tennessee prediction. If he goes somewhere I thought it would be Ole Miss or Clemson.
His dad said last week Ole Miss is likely too far.

If you watch the video he says the hardest part might be going three hrs away.

Sounds like Bama and UGA have a distance problem. Kipp loves to spin.

Video gives me hope as an AU fan.

I still believe Lawson will stick it out and sign with AU but maybe the know something in the UT camp that we don't know.

Would be so angry to lose Lawson to Tennessee. They are more of a dumpster fire than us with a much worse coaching staff.

I agree to this. I could see Foster going to Bama or UGA but Lawson to Vols makes no sense.

I am just preparing for one day depression come NSD. Then unwarranted homerism whether or not we sign 20 5 stars or 20 2 stars and telling everyone on the rant just how fricked they are

The Vols are trying to use Thigpen (who they know) to get in with him. If they're smart, they will check the record of his actual position coach. Stripling hasn't put out any players I know of and has had like seven jobs in the last ten years.

They must REALLY hate Garner, if the go UT.

Kind of wish T Johnson would've stayed committed so we wouldn't have to put up with this Foster shite show.

The Lawsons flat out said they barely knew Thigpen when he was at Auburn.

They have Constantin Reitzman or whatever in his ear everytime he works out. That guy seems like a total cheese dick though so I can't believe a family who has been so smart with recruiting would listen to that chump.

Also on Montravious Adams, why is it that after hiring his lead recruiter he likes a lot at UGA and what would seem like he liked AU at the beginning of recruitment (can't be only Troop-a-Loop) yet we are fighting for a 5 OV which probably wouldn't even matter

This. You can't expect to have top reruits flocking to our school after that kind of season.

Didn't Saban have a top ten class after losing to LA Monroe at home? The difference: he had a full year to recruit.

I believe he did. But they also didnt go winless in the SEC, unless you count the sanctions maybe?

True. Also you would have to think Saban already had established himself as a top college coach after what he did at LSU and he was just coming back from the pros. I think he was already known as a top recruiter before he got the Bama.

I am just saying that I am a little disappointed that with all these guys we hired

Craig, Garner, Cheese, Horton, and Smith

Only Craig has at least gotten high profile guys that he is recruiting to at least take a visit.

Vaild concern since these guys are supposedly top recruiters but they also havent been here that long. I hope we close strong but its hard to know. You would have to predict a disappointing class at this point. Next year will be way better.

I think you should temper your expectations and look at it logically. A 3-8 team that went 0-8 in the SEC and replaced their entire coaching staff is not going to convince kids to change their minds in a month. Especially when other coaching staffs have been recruiting them for years. Next year's class will show how well they are recruiting moreso than this one.

Yes.

It's very very difficult to get a kid that has gotten to know an entire staff/team/school for 1-2, or more, years to change their mind in a matter of a couple weeks. It happens from time to time, but it's very rare. These guys went out there first and foremost to keep the kids we've got(at least the ones they wanted to keep), look for others that we have a chance of getting within 1-2 months time, and start working on 2014 and beyond.

I just don't see how anyone could be disappointed in that short a time span.
