Watched the highlights earlier. One of the greatest nights of my life. My sophomore year at Auburn. Toomers was so much damn fun that night. Bottles of whiskey being passed around. Fireworks blasting all over. Man what a night. I hope we get to feel it again soon.

12 years ago it had just snowed like crazy at my house in north Alabama. Now I’m in Florida, missing snow and another natty.

Same in central alabama. Academy and Hibbett’s opened up to sell gear and the roads had some ice spots so no one really went out to get any swag

Same here- was in north Alabama, now in Florida. I was wrestling with the kids in the front yard and nearly missed kickoff that night.

We went to the game. When we arrived back in Georgia the next day, it took us over 3 hours to drive 40 miles home from the airport. LOL. That Ice and snow was everywhere in north Georgia.

But it didnt matter. We won a natty. I actually got to see it. We got drunk AF and rolled 2 cactuses. Drove back to vegas and got on the plane.

Damn that trip was fun

Was there and our seats were right at the 10 yard line so we had a great view of Byrum’s kick.

Getting there and back however was a complete nightmare with the big winter storm that hit the south.

Agreed. Toomers was nuts. Folks were drinking and dancing on tables in Little Italy as they blared music in the restaurant

We couldn't get back for like 3 days so we headed toward Grand Canyon through Flagstaff and Sedona. Other stuck Auburn folks everywhere still celebrating. Good times.

My flight left from Atlanta at 6:00 AM on Sunday morning the day before.

A few hours after that, airports all across the east coast started shutting down and stranding fans who had later flights. I got lucky.

When I got back on Wednesday I had to clean about 14 inches of snow off of my car in long-term parking.

I need to rewatch some highlights of that season. I was drinking (a lot) back then and don't remember much

Eerie how similar it was to the '84 Sugar Bowl. Know folks who were at both.

I left the game at the end, drove to LasVegas and got on a 6am flight.

That was a long fricking night

That was our plan too until our flight got canceled, which ended up being a blessing.

Did the same after the FSU game, one of the most miserable nights of my life.

We left that stupid golf course after the game in Pasadena and I drove straight to Phoenix and got on a flight.

That was more miserable than Glendale and not only because we lost. Just a long boring drive. I followed 2 cars almost the entire way. Had the same idea as us.

My wife had to get back home to get to work so we had no choice. I had both my kids with me as well. That was a hard drive to stay awake. If I remember well, it was a 6 hour drive

What a great night and season it was. I was there and it was such a fun trip. Would love to go back to Glendale/Phoenix one day for a playoff game.
