We obviously care about baseball and football in this town. Would Atl United bringing home a championship be on par with those sports?

Not quite, but for me it would be pretty damn close.

It would pale in comparison to a World Series or Super Bowl, but would probably be near or as big as an NBA title.

It would be really big right now because it has been so long since the '95 Braves win and the bad taste left from the Super Bowl choke.

I'd say priorities currently are about here, with NFL possibly dropping below Baseball if the Braves & ATL UTD perform well. To clarify, this is what I believe to be the cities priorities, not my own.

1a CFB
1b NFL
2. Baseball
3. Soccer
4. Basketball
5. Hockey

No it wouldn't

But Atlanta winning it would be good for MLS and Atlanta. Obviously we'll take a championship of any kind, and for MLS it would be good for a club like AUFC to win it and have our enthusiastic supporters bolster the importance of the cup.

In short, having a fanbase that is dedicated and takes it seriously will only help the prestige of the cup.

For me it would be:
1) CFB but Bama is starting to spoil me
2) NFL - if the Falcons could win 1 though, this would drop in my list
3a) Braves
3b) ATL United
...
...
4) Hawks - actually dont care

I think if the Falcons had not choked away the super bowl the other year, they'd fall to just above the hawks.

Seriously man? Crap once AU got a NC in 10 it dropped below my Braves and Falcons wish list.

I am a falcons ticket holder but love the Braves overall. (Season tickets to a baseball team is dumb)

College Football is God in my household. So Bama's run has beyond spoiled me. I know it will end one day so I try and soak it up as much as possible and not be a douche about it cause when it does end, I don't want people being douche's to me about it.

I probably like the Braves right behind Bama and ATL UTD right behind the Braves... maybe right on par with them now.

As an Auburn fan, I have settled on being happy that one day Bama fans will be unhappy about not winning

Also being an auburn fan, read my sig.

Haha. Hey Auburn could beat us and then we could lose to UGA in the SEC Champ game and that would definitely keep us out of the top 4.

For me, I'd rather have AUFC win the MLS Cup than Alabama win the national championship.

You could ask people who are sports fans who won the MLS last year and 90% wouldn't know. I watch el, MLS is 4 the tier football.

Why does that mean anything. The only 2 champions from the last year that I remember are Alabama football and the Washington Caps. I know I watched the Super Bowl and I know that I watched the MLS final, but I can't remember who won either of them.

I'm a my sports fan. I don't care about the NFL. I watch the Super Bowl every year, but it's the only NFL game I watch. I think the World Series just ended and I have no clue who was even playing in it.

Again, OK? It is what it is. No one pretends that it's as good as those leagues. Doesn't change the fact that the playoffs so far this year have been entertaining as hell.

Sure it's a lower level of talent. So are all college sports but I am assuming you watch those or you would not be here.

Then you're not a sports fan you like soccer. Sports is more then one.
