Tonight was fricking awesome. Amazing atmosphere per usual. Honestly the Falcons atmospheres can’t hold a candle to United’s.

To me, it might be a top five atmosphere in all of professional sports.

I'd put it above just about everything but playoff hockey games.

Holy crap that’s sounds awesome! I expense tickets for customers all the time for college and pro sports and have bought a bunch of Atlanta United tickets this year but still have never been to a game myself. I have heard the atmosphere is great but you saying possibly top 5 in sports makes me want to go for sure. If they go to the finals, will they have a home game? I will be there for sure.

Yes. The MLS Cup will be at the team with the best reg season record. Since both United and NYRB have better records than both WC teams, the ECF winner will host.

If I weren't so damn broke, I'd be inclined to drive from New Orleans to ATL to go to the Final. Then again, we gotta put away the NYRB on Thursday night. If we lose 4-0, I may actually cry.

If we get just 1 goal on Thursday, we should have it locked up cause they would then have to drop 4 goals on us to tie or 5 to win.
Atlanta United are in a bit of a pickle though. They like to score and I'm wondering if Tata will go conservative and play all Defense to hold the 3-0 aggregate lead. I hope not!

If NY wins leg 2 4-1, Atlanta wins.

We would be tied on aggregate at 4-4, but Atlanta having an away goal would give them them the edge.

So if Atlanta can just score 1 goal on Thursday, NY would HAVE to score 5.

Winning by 3 was big, but not giving up an away goal was huge.

MBS went nuts when NY's only goal was overturned. Hope we put the nail in their coffin tomorrow.

no point in being low-key. their lead right now is basically the equivalent of being up 4 scores with 1 quarter to play in an American football game....

what could go wrong?

what will atlanta's strategy be tonight? I know I'm not a player but it seems like it'd be very easy for complacency to set in since they have such an advantage before the game even begins. Are they going to play defense all game or continue to play as if it was 0-0?

Also I assume we want portland to win since they didn't have as good a season? How does ATL matchup against both those teams?

I know next to nothing about soccer strategy.

with that said, I think I'd just stay on the attack and be super aggressive in the first half. if we score just ONE goal tonight, then there's no way that they would be able to score the 5 goals required to win the series.

But, like I said, I know nothing about soccer.

New York is going to have to really press to score 3 goals. Defensive shape will be key. I think the starting line up/formation for AUFC will be pretty similar to leg one. Remedi and Nagbe will have to make sure they are on the same page, and our CBs can't let BWP get any breathing room. I think we'll have to absorb some of their pressure, but it should open up some opportunities to score on the counter.

If Lawrence still can't play, we'll continue to try and attack down the left side against Lade.

Everyone needs to keep their composure and play smart. Can't afford to get any reds and have people suspended for the final.

Wouldn't be too surprised if we went full 3-5-2 with Robinson as the 3rd CB, similar to leg 2 vs NYCFC.

Just a heads up, entertainment expenses (tickets) are no longer deductible on your taxes. It's retroactive for 2018. Thank the TCJA
