this defense needs a complete overhaul.

I think a Chase Young type player along with a couple FA acquisitions, Keanu Neal (yeah yeah tough to rely on him) and a new mindset could turn our unit into middle of the pack quick.

I'm good with this, and holy shite does Chase Young look awesome. I would listen to offers for the first round pick though and if someone gives a godfather offer, at least listen. This team needs a lot of young, cheap talent to supplement the shitty contracts Dimitroff saddled us with.

If there isn't an offer for Young that doesn't include multiple 1sts and a 2nd, take him and be happy for the next decade.

Mortgage the entire team and try to get Draft picks for this year and next year's draft.

#1 priority is trying to get Fields or Lawrence next season.

#2 priority is building on the O and D lines..

An absolute home run would be drafting Andrew Thomas or Chase Young this season and getting one of the two QB's next season. If the Falcons can pick up Kinlaw or Brown from Auburn it would be really nice as well.

Matt Ryan has 3 years in his prime, likely 5 more total and the quality of QBs coming out every year has not slowed down in the slightest.

What is wrong with people?

Shore up the defense.

What else does Matt Ryan have to do to win Falcons fans over?

The guy has hall-of-fame statistics right now. I think someone's opinion of Matt Ryan needing to be replaced in the next 3 years is the litmus test of intelligence (for which many would not pass).

I'm a Ryan fan. He's going to the Hall.

You guys are missing the point, though. The entire reason you move Matt is precisely because he has so much value. Same for Julio.

Trading Jones without trading Ryan makes absolutely no sense. Clear the cap space, get the picks, sign the free agents, and rebuild. This team has hit it's ceiling.

Why is Swift even on this list? I’d riot if we picked him where we sit, and what we need. This has to be one of those, “FaLcOns NeVeR DrafT GeOrGia pLayerS,” positioning.

you definitely answered your question with the last sentence.

dude is probably still upset that we didn't draft Gurley's crippled arse

Completely disagree. The NFL is cyclical.

Wish the Saints did this with Brees after they trotted out 3 consecutive 7-9 teams.

The cap hit if we traded them would be crippling.

You don't trade franchise QBs when you're fortunate enough to land one. Matt is the greatest QB in franchise history by far and has at least 5 great years left.

Atlanta Falcons:
Jeff Okudah, CB, Ohio State

Atlanta has tons of holes to fill, and one of the major ones is the poor cornerback play. With Chase Young off the board, the Falcons could be interested in the top cornerback in this class.

Jeff Okudah is a big, athletic, speedy cornerback with immense upside.

Walter Football
I don't know if I hate Okudah, but in this scenario Derrick Brown goes 9th to the Cardinals and I would hate that. I think you take Brown.

You absolutely take Derrick Brown. I think Okudah may be a need if we cut Tru loose, but, I think he's likely a "keep" until the 2021 offseason.

This is the best you could come up with? Why do we allow ourselves to be rivals with such morons.
