I can't remember who had a torn thumb ligament recently, or even in what sport, but I remember the recovery timeline was longer than I would have anticipated (I'm not a Dr. obviously, lol).
Contreras might be ready, his stats look good in a small sample size of Major League ABs, but I kind of thought the Braves were going to use him as trade bait at some point after drafting Langeliers few years ago when Contreras was already coming up through the minors.
Anyways, the next 7 games are against NL East teams so hopefully we'll still be in that logjam at/near the top of the division this time next week.

For a catcher on his catching hand, yeah it'll be awhile before he plays again.

If he plays well this year, the Braves will certainly have a decision to make. I've always thought Langeliers would be the trade bait, especially considering he's a Boras client.

I really hope that Saturday game was a springboard for this team to get their shite together.
And good lord, Ynoa has been amazing to start the season. It's really early but he has to be the runaway favorite for ROY right now.

Chip Caray was pissing me off on Friday night. After Morton's horrible outing, Chip said something to the effect of "this game is going like the last game where the Braves had a full stadium" referring to 2019 NLDS Game 5 vs. STL.
I'd be happy if no one ever mentions that game again ever.
Saturday was great. It was great to see the boys bounce back after the Friday game.
